Abstract

Year to year halal tourism is starting to become popular, in line with the increase in Muslim tourists. Development of halal tourism now carried out by various countries, both majority Muslim and non-Muslim countries. Target of halal tourism market is growing rapidly in the millennial Muslim because it is considered potential in driving halal tourism development. This study of halal tourism seeks to interpret cultural tourism which is synergized with the halal industry as a spiritual experience of modern society, namely millennial Muslims. This literature review will disscuss millennial Muslims in Indonesia as the main segment in utilizing the potential offered from domestic and foreign halal tourism based on literature and other references relating to halal tourism and Y generations. This literature study aims to explore halal tourism at local and abroad which focuses on the segmentation of millennial Muslims as a population that is considered potential in increasing halal tourism development. Focus on study in a particular segmentation is expected to be able to broaden the understanding of the concept of halal tourism from the perspective of the younger generation so that the halal tourism industry is able to develop according to the changes and needs of the times.

Abstract

Abstrak - Media sosial menjadi sebuah platfrom untuk berkomuniasi secara virtual, salah satu media sosial paling populer di Indonesia adalah TikTok. Media sosial ini sangat diminati karena konten yang dibuat oleh pengguna media sosial sangat menarik bagi followersnya. Salah satu akun TikTok yang popular di Indonesia adalah resep_inspirasi_debm, akun resep yang mempunyai followers aktif sebanyak 10,5 juta pengikut, dan mempunyai tema resep memasak yang menginspirasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi dari followers akun TikTok resep_inspirasi_debm mengenai konten yang dibuat oleh akun TikTok terebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara mempertimbangkan triangulasi dan pengumpulan informasi menggunakan metode wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Dalam penelitian ini informan yang diambil sebanyak 4 orang yang merupakan followers dari akun TikTok resep_inspirasi_debm. Penelitian ini mengambil informan berdasarkan kriteria usia remaja awal, yang mempunyai rentang usia yaitu 20 – 40 tahun. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa konten TikTok yang diberikan oleh akun TikTok resep_inspirasi_debm memberikan persepsi positif dan negatif terhadap konten yang diberikan, beberapa followers mengatakan bahwa konten yang diberikan dapat menginspirasi para followers tetapi beberapa followers beranggapan bahwa konten yang diberikan hanya menyulitkan sebagian followers.   Abstract - Social media has become a platform for communicating virtually, one of the most popular social media in Indonesia is TikTok. This social media is in great demand because the content created by social media users is very attractive to their followers. One of the most popular TikTok accounts in Indonesia is resep_inspirasi_debm, a recipe account that has active followers of 10.5 million followers, and has the theme of inspiring cooking recipes. This study aims to determine the perceptions of the followers of the resep_inspirasi_debm TikTok account regarding the content created by that TikTok account. This study used qualitative research, the data collection process was carried out by considering triangulation and gathering information using in-depth interviews and observation methods. In this study, 4 people were taken as informants who were followers of the resep_inspirasi_debm TikTok account. This study took informants based on the criteria of early adolescent age, which has an age range of 20-40 years. The results of this study indicate that the TikTok content provided by the resep_inspirasi_debm TikTok account provides positive and negative perceptions of the content provided, some followers say that the content provided can inspire followers but some followers think that the content provided only makes it difficult for some followers.
