Abstract

Anemia is a condition where the hemoglobin level in red blood cells (erythrocytes) decreases, impairing the ability of red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body. Adolescent girls are more susceptible to anemia due to the increased iron requirements for supporting growth and the menstrual cycle. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls worldwide remains relatively high (40-80%), with anemia in Indonesia among 15-24 years old at 15.5%. In Central Java, the prevalence of anemia is 48.9%, while the anemia rate among adolescent girls in the working area of Puskesmas Randublatung is recorded at 41.14%. This studey aims to determine the relationship beetween breakfast habits and tea consumption with the occurence of anemia in adolescent girls in the Puskesmas Randublatung working area. The research used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling, and data analysis was conducted using the Chi-Square Test. The results showed a relationship between breakfast habits and tea consumptoion with the incidence of anemia among adolescent girls in the Puskesmas Randublatung working area. These findings can provide input for relevant institutions to offer education on anemia prevention, such as encouraging breakfast habits and reducing tea consumption during meals for adolescent girls.

Abstract

All levels of education are required to adapt to current developments in the use of technology applied to classroom learning. This study was inspired by the growing need for accessible, interactive, and visually engaging educational tools. By integrating educational content with an easy-to-use interface and age-appropriate features. Through an interactive approach and oriented towards the developmental needs of early childhood, this website will be designed to provide an interesting and educational learning experience for preschool children who focus on playing while learning to recognize letters and numbers. The research method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD) to design and analyze web needs, chosen because the author believes this method is more flexible and efficient. The results show that web-based interactive learning can increase children's interest and involvement in the learning process, as well as provide practical guidance for teachers and parents in facilitating effective learning for preschool children through digital technology. The main conclusion from this research is that web-based interactive learning is an effective tool for supporting early childhood development. The application of technology to early childhood education can have a significant positive impact, especially in terms of children's engagement and motivation to learn. This research recommends the use of interactive websites as part of the early childhood education curriculum to improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

The number of newly detected HIV/AIDS cases in Surakarta City has increased annually, with 425 cases reported in 2022, 453 in 2023, and 323 cases recorded up to August 2024. This study aimed to map the spatial distribution of HIV/AIDS cases to identify high-risk transmission areas, analyse spatial patterns and trends, and support more effective planning and evaluation of HIV programmes. Using a descriptive ecological design, the study employed secondary data from the Surakarta City Health Office and local AIDS-focused NGOs. Spatial analysis was conducted using overlay and buffering techniques in QGIS. The results showed varying case distributions across sub-districts, represented by colour gradients from dark red (highest case numbers) to white (lowest). Health service availability includes seven hospitals and seventeen primary health centres providing HIV testing, while 107 hotspot areas were identified among key populations, including MSM, transgender individuals, female sex workers, and people who inject drugs. Health service coverage was found to be evenly distributed across all sub-districts. The study recommends that the Health Office and AIDS-related NGOs continue spatial mapping efforts to better identify high-risk transmission areas and strengthen HIV prevention strategies in Surakarta City.
