Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-knowledge, personality, intelligence, morals The school environment is one of the strategic places where students are educated and fostered, in order to develop and cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities through a series of learning program activities, habituation, extracurricular and other programs. For the improvement of noble education, as well as the skills needed by themselves, society, nation and state. Science or natural and social sciences is a branch of science that studies natural phenomena and the processes that occur around us, it covers various disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology and astronomy, science focuses on understanding and applying scientific principles to explain and predict natural phenomena, predictions. Science subjects are also less in demand by students, therefore researchers need to make expectations for education through knowledge integration where emphasis is on combining concepts from the natural and social sciences to provide a more holistic and relevant understanding of global and local issues. The activities carried out in education are learning. "Learning is a conscious effort made by individuals to change behavior both through practice and experience related to cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects". So learning activities are the most important activity in the educational process, and teachers must also be able to provide learning motivation to students in the learning process." As a final product of the learning process, learning outcomes are considered to be able to show what students have known and developed. "Learning outcomes are the abilities that students have Learning outcomes are the abilities that students have after they receive their learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to improve social studies learning outcomes by using a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 064017 Medan.This type of research is classroom action research (Clasroom Action Research). The research subjects in this research were all grade IV students of SD Negeri 064017 Medan Perjuangan totaling 31 students. This research model uses the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. The method used in this research is 1) test, 2) observation, 3) documentation. The technique used to analyze data is qualitative data and quantitative data.Social studies learning by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model can improve social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students of SD Negeri 064017 Medan. Increased social studies learning outcomes in the first cycle by an average of 66.45 and an increase in the second cycle by 81.9.

Abstract

Lingkungan belajar yang baik bisa memberi rangsangan pada anak lebih efektif untuk melakukan kegiatan belajarnya dalam mencapai prestasi yang baik. The Liang Gie mengatakan bahwa bagi setiap siswa bila mungkin hendaknya di tempat belajar tersedia kelengkapan sarana belajar (ruangan, meja, kursi, sistem penerangan) yang baik dan khusus digunakan untuk belajarnya.. Adapun tugas orang tua dan guru sejak kecil hingga dewasa mengusahakan lingkungan belajar yang kaya akan rangsangan dan dimana anak-anak merasa nyaman dan bebas mengungkapkan dirinya secara kreatif. Tingkat kecenderungan Lingkungan Belajar di Rumah (X) dari siswa/i SMP Negeri 15 Medan adalah cukup tinggi, yaitu masing-masing 29 dan 32 orang atau masing-masing 43.33% dan 35.55%. Tingkat kecenderungan Prestasi Belajar Siswa (Y) dari siswa/i SMP Negeri 15 Medan masing-masing 36 dan 27 orang atau 42.22% dan 30%. Lingkungan Belajar di Rumah mempunyai hubungan yang linier dan positif serta signifikan terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa (Y) dari siswa/i. SMP Negeri 15 Medan. Jika ingin meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa (Y) dari siswa maka perlu ditingkatkan Lingkungan Belajar di Rumah (X) yang lebih kondusif dan menyenangkan. Karena tingkat kecenderungan Lingkungan Belajar di Rumah (X) di SMP Negeri 15 Medan masih cukup dan tinggi, demikian halnya dengan Prestasi Belajar Siswa (Y), maka perlu dipertahankan, atau bahkan lebih ditingkatkan lagi.

Abstract

This research is motivated because schools during the Covid -19 pandemic are required to use virtual teaching methods or teleconferencing so that the SDN 105366 Sei Nagalawan school uses teaching methods using Google Claasroom and it is important for teacher researchers and students to find out how the results of implementing the virtual teaching method are. The method in this study uses observation, interviews and documentation. This study also aims to determine the learning outcomes of students who are taught using Google Classroom and compare the learning outcomes taught by conventional methods with those taught using Google Class Room. Based on the data from the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the implementation of the use of Google Classroom is very helpful in the online learning process during the current Covid-19 pandemic, while using the Google Classroom application the teacher can monitor student learning activities, such as absenteeism, material explanations. and delivery of assigned tasks, and the teacher also prepares learning videos.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar matematika pada materi volume kubus dan balok kurang maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan belajar dan faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar pada materi volume kubus dan balok. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas V SD Swata Dharma Wanita JL. Melati Raya 2 Medan. Dengan populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 24 orang dan sekaligus sebagai sampel penelitian. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakanyaitu angket, tes, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa. (1) Kesulitan belajar pada materi volume kubus dan balok siswa kelas V SD Swasta Dharma Wanita Medan terletak pada kesulitan keterampilan, dan kesulitan pemecahan masalah. (2) Faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar pada materi volume kubus dan balok siswa kelas V SD swasta Dharma Wanita Medan adalah faktor motivasi belajar dan minat belajar yang masih berkriteria cukup.
