Penerapan Metode Terpadu dalam Pembelajaran untuk Meningkatkan Aktifitas dan Hasil Belajar IPA di MTs Negeri Gondowulung Bantul Asih Budiati

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine how big an effort to implement an integrated method can increase the activity of learning and learning outcomes. This study is a class action (Classroom Action Research). The study took place in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings, each cycle is carried out through four stages: planning (planning), action (enforcement action), observation (observation), and reflecting (reflection). The subjects of this study were students VII-C MTsN Gondowulung Bantul 2012-2013 school year. The results showed that the implementation of learning science using an integrated method can increase the activity and student learning outcomes. It can be seen from the positive activity during the execution of a small test of 64.71% in the first meeting to be 100% at the last meeting. During the learning takes a good activity increased from 39.68% to 42.70%. Group discussion activities also increased where the activities ask and explain increased from 25.00% in the first meeting be 36.60% at the last meeting. Student learning outcomes also increased, from an average value on a daily test I is 62.36, daily test II was 62.68 and in the first cycle test was 67.94, and the second cycle test is 72.06. Keywords: Integrated Methods, Activities, Results Learning, Science Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar upaya penerapan metode terpadu dapat meningkatkan aktifitas belajar dan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Penelitian berlangsung dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan, setiap siklus dilaksanakan melalui empat tahap yaitu: planning (perencanaan), action (pelaksanaan tindakan), observation (pengamatan), dan reflecting (refleksi). Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa VII-C MTsN Gondowulung Bantul tahun ajaran 2012-2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan metode terpadu dapat meningkatkan aktifitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari aktifitas positif selama pelaksanaan tes kecil dari 64,71% di pertemuan pertama menjadi 100% pada pertemuan terakhir. Selama pembelajaran berlangsung kegiatan potitif meningkat dari 39,68% menjadi 42,70%. Kegiatan diskusi kelompok juga meningkat dimana kegiatan bertanya dan menjelaskan meningkat dari 25,00% di pertemuan pertama menjadi 36,60% pada pertemuan terakhir. Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dari nilai rata rata pada ulangan harian I adalah 62,36, ulangan harian II adalah 62,68 dan pada tes siklus I adalah 67,94, serta pada tes siklus II adalah 72,06. Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning types Think Pair Share (TPS) to improve the learning results of IPA specifically material chemicals in Life in class VIII-B MTsN Gondowulung. This research is a research action class that is intended to address the existing problems in the classroom by utilizing real action and then do a reflection against the results of the action. This research takes place in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings, each cycle is implemented with four stages: planning, implementation, observation, action and reflection. The subject of this research is grade VIII-B MTsN Bantul Gondowulung that add up to 34 students. Data collection methods used are observation, documentation, and test the results of the study. Data obtained in the field dinalisis using qualitative analysis techniques by means of categorisation/categorization includes the reduction of data, data retrieval and presentation of conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of cooperative learning types Think Pair Share (TPS) in class VIII-B MTsN Bantul Gondowulung can improve the learning results of the IPA especially chemical material in life. It can be seen from the results of the students in class study on Deuteronomy I its daily average is 56.76 on Deut. II daily mean value was 48.97 and Deuteronomy III daily average was 58.38. While the average rating on a cycle I was 65.44 as well as an average rating on cycle II is 71.34. The increase in value from the beginning of 56.76 Deuteronomy daily be 71.32 on the test cycle II shows the increase of 14.56. Activities or the activities of students during the study also experienced an increase, this is indicated by the percentage of students who are actively increasing from the first meeting through to the four i.e. 60.29% at the first meeting, 66.91 at the meeting keduan, 72.30% at the meeting, the third and fourth meeting at 74.26%. Thus it can be said that cooperative learning types think pair share (TPR) is very effective to improve the learning results of the IPA.
