Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran monopoly game smart terhadap kemandirian dan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS Kelas V SD Negeri Legok II Sumedang Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah Quasi eksperimental design dengan desain one group pretest-postest. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan sebelumnya, didapatkan kelas V sebagai kelas eksperimen. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri dari tes tertulis dan lembar observasi. Berdasarkan analisis data skor menggunakan uji paired t-test (α=5%) diperoleh skor rata-rata hasil belajar pada pretest 61,2 dan posttest 75,2. Kemudian diperoleh skor rata-rata observasi kemandirian yaitu 11,78 untuk pretest dan 20,79 untuk posttest. Hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dari penggunaan media pembelajaran monopoly game smart terhadap kemandirian dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Researchers applied the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by pop-up book media to students' mathematical problem solving skills on the perimeter and area of rectangles. The formulation of this problem is whether there is a significant effect of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by pop-up book media on students' mathematical problem solving skills on the perimeter and area of rectangles in class V of Gudang I State Elementary School, Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency in the 2023/2024 academic year. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by pop-up book media on students' mathematical problem solving skills on the perimeter and area of rectangles in class V SDN Gudang I. The research method used was experimental research with the help of pop-up book media. The research method used is experimental research with a pre-experimental research design with a one-group pretest-postest design. The sample taken was 29 students in class V SDN Gudang I. The instrument used was a written test in the form of description questions. The data analysis technique used in this study consists of a data normality test through the Lilliefors test and the t test. Based on the results of the t test data analysis, because the value of tcount = 17.591 and  ttable = 2.04841, with the testing criteria if tcount < ttable then H0 is determined. Which means that tcount is greater than ttable and is outside the H0 acceptance area, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by pop-up book media has a significant effect on students' mathematical problem solving ability on the perimeter and area of rectangles. Students' mathematical problem solving ability increased from the initial data of 11% to 100% in the final data.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using visual aids in improving the creative thinking skills of fourth-grade students in the subject of Science and Social Studies (IPAS), particularly on the topic of plant parts. The background of this research is the low level of students’ creative thinking abilities, which is attributed to the dominance of conventional teaching methods that do not incorporate visual aids. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest model. The research subjects were 25 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Bendungan 1. The instrument used was a test based on creative thinking indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The analysis results showed that the data were normally distributed, and the paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. This indicates a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of visual aids is effective in enhancing students’ creative thinking skills in IPAS learning
