Abstract

Abstract? The modern development of the agricultural business in the world is focused on a system of flexible network management, innovations, information, and intellectual property. Large companies are of great significance in this process; agricultural holdings are very important in Russian agricultural business. Unfortunately, the Russian agribusiness sector is dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises, namely, concurrent enterprises, farms, small businesses in rural areas. They produce and market agricultural products. Therefore, supply chain management in agricultural business requires digitalization and the use of flexible management methods. The purpose of the research is to study agile supply chain management methods in agricultural business. We have considered such flexible methods as a digital platform and a blockchain technology, which contribute to the partnership between small and medium-sized agrifood enterprises by creating a digital network platform for all parties interested in the agricultural product. These methods are more productive compared to the traditional approaches; they provide more efficient interaction between manufacturers, consumers and intermediaries in the flow of goods and services through the supply chain. Unfortunately, agile supply chain management in the agricultural business of Russia has not been widely introduced yet, which makes it difficult to collect analytical information. We believe that this may be explained by the predominance of small and medium-sized enterprises in the country, the lack of digital platforms that act as intermediaries in the supply chain to connect crop producers and consumers.

Abstract

The study of the impact of the availability of renewable energy sources (RES) on the competitiveness and cost reduction opportunities is an actual objective for agro-industrial enterprises in the present time. The purpose of this paper was to develop a methodological approach based on a questionnaire survey, an integrated indicator of enterprise competitiveness, a model for assessing energy conservation costs, and regression analysis combined with a hierarchical synthesis of 20 Russian agro-industrial companies. The solution of the problem of nonlinear optimization of agro-industrial companies made it possible to determine the excess of the competitiveness criterion over the criterion of energy conservation cost reduction as a result of the use of RES. The conducted regression analysis showed a close relationship between the competitiveness of the companies under study and the availability of RES. Modeling and hierarchical synthesis of the study results confirmed that the use of RES in the activities of agro-industrial companies stimulates their competitive potential reflected by the competitiveness index and minimizes energy conservation costs. It was also found that there is an inverse regression relationship with a high degree of correlation between the provision of RES and the cost of energy-saving measures. Hence, it can be argued that a greater emphasis on the provision of Russian agro-industrial enterprises with RES can lead to their more sustainable and efficient development due to increased competitiveness and better cost reduction strategies.

Abstract

Abstract— Today competitiveness depends not only on price but also on customer service and delivery time. The creation of an effective infrastructure and the development of global supply chains is the key condition for increasing competitiveness. The study is based on the analysis of peer-reviewed literature, as well as the information publicly available on official websites. The purpose of the research is to conduct a thorough analysis and compare the level of competitiveness and efficiency throughout the supply chain of logistics services in different countries. The logistics efficiency and global competitiveness indicators have been analyzed. It has been concluded that favorable conditions in the country evidenced by its high ranking in the International Logistics Performance Index determine the potential for the implementation of global chains and provide opportunities for increasing competitiveness.
