Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the validity of a high schoolphysics learning media in straight motion topics for android using the unity application.This development research used ADDIE model that consists of five stages, namelyAnalysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, thisdevelopment research is limited to the development stage. The data in this study arequalitative data in the form of opinions and suggestions as well as quantitative data inthe form of scores given to each item assessed by experts consisting of 5 people, 3 ofthem lecturers of physics education and 2 teachers of high school physics subjects to thelearning media developed. The instrument used by experts in providing assessments isthe expert validation sheet (adapted from Nasir, 2014). Data collection techniques werecollected by giving draft learning media along with assessment sheets to five experts.Furthermore, experts are asked to provide an assessment consisting of opinions andsuggestions for improvement as well as scores for each item using a scale of 1-5. Dataanalysis techniques in the form of expert judgment in the form of suggestions forimprovement (if any) and scores for each item that are then tabulated. Items that have ascore of less than 3 (scale 1-5) by experts, these items must subsequently be revisedaccording to expert improvement recommendations and will be re-assessed by experts.This process continues until all the experts state that all items already have a score of 3,4 or 5. Then the average score of each assessment item is calculated. The results of thelearning media validation obtained are valid in the high category with a score of 4.08consisting of aspects design with a score of 4.12, pedagogic aspects with a score of4.00, content aspects with a score of 4.00, and technical aspects of 4.20.Keywords: Unity, ADDIE Model, Straight Motion, Android-Based Physics Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to identify the types of ICT utilization and the constraints of the use of ICT in learning physics. This survey also describe the level of ICT utilization and the level of obstacles faced by physics teacher in using ICT in learning. This type of research is a survey research. The subjects of this study were 20 physics teachers from 20 SMA and MA in Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques in the form of distributing questionnaires online. This instruments contain 20 statement items. Data analysis of this study uses descriptive analysis, which provides an overview of the level of ICT utilization and the constraints of using ICT in learning physics. We found that the average percentage of the level of ICT utilization in physics learning in Pekanbaru was 55% in the medium category. While, the percentage for the level of obstacles in using ICT in learning physics was 61% with a high category.Key Words: Utilization of ICT, physics learning, the constraints of using ICT.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims is to describe the difficulties experienced by students of SMAN 4 Pekanbaru and explain the factors causing difficulties in solving HOTS questions based on Heller Stages indicators. This research uses survey research methods. The research procedure used is preparing instruments, determining population and samples, taking research data, analyzing research data (descriptive analysis), and summarizing research results. The instrument used in this study is a matter of such diagnostic tests HOTS essay about work and energy as much as 5 questions. Other instruments in the form of a questionnaire, this questionnaire consisted of 12 statements and compiled based on indicators of the Heller stages and learning material about work and energy. The subjects of this study were 7 classes taken from 3 classes using stratified random sampling technique. The results showed that among all types of Heller stages that had the highest percentage of difficulty values were the 1st Heller stages, which illustrated a sketch of the problem with a percentage of 47.3% included in the difficult category. Based on the questionnaire, students made the most mistakes at the 3rd Heller stages, namely writing a formula that was used with a percentage value of agreeing to 92%.Key Words: Student’s difficulties, Problem solving, HOTS questions in physic, Heller Stages,Work and energy.
