Self-report questionnaires and medical records were used to collect data on demographic and disease characteristics, the role of empowerment and diabetes distress. Bivariate analysis was used to test for significant correlations of variables. Results: The results of this study were that the role of perceived empowerment was negatively associated with diabetes distressConclusion: The importance of empowerment decision-making conflicts with diabetes distress in patients with type 2 diabetes in Indonesia. Abstract

Abstract Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) frequently experience musculoskeletal discomfort, including shoulder and neck pain, due to uremic neuropathy, reduced mobility, and prolonged static posture during hemodialysis. Non-pharmacological interventions such as scapula massage and cervical massage may help reduce muscle tension and improve range of motion. The objective of this study is to report the effects of combined scapula massage and cervical massage on shoulder–neck pain in a CKD patient. The method of this study adheres to the CARE (Case Report) Guidelines. The results showed that the patient's pain score decreased from NRS 6 to NRS 2 after three intervention sessions. In conclusion, scapula and cervical massage may serve as safe and effective complementary therapies for reducing musculoskeletal pain in patients with CKD. Abstract

Background: Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is often referred to as "the silent killer" because it often occurs without symptoms. The non-pharmacological therapy approach, the Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension (DASH), is highly effective in reducing hypertension. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of audiovisual-based DASH education on knowledge and attitudes about blood pressure control in elderly hypertensive patients. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The subjects were hypertensive patients at the Baciro Village Elderly Health Post (Posyandu Lansia) and the Ngudi Waluyo Elderly Health Post (Posyandu Lansia) in the intervention group, with a total of 47 elderly hypertensive patients. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-tests and Wilcoxon tests. Results: The DASH diet education for hypertension patients achieved a p-value of 0.001 in the intervention group. A one-week follow-up showed an increase in knowledge scores of 43 participants (91.5%) and attitudes toward the DASH diet in 43 participants (89.4%) with a p-value <0.05. Conclusion: DASH diet education using audiovisual media is effective in changing the knowledge and attitudes of people with hypertension.   Keywords: Knowledge; Attitude; Audiovisual Video; Blood Pressure.
