Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal politics behind the reform of Law No. 9 of 1961 concerning Collection of Money and Goods Related to Philanthropic Governance in Indonesia. Philanthropy has an essential role in advancing society and improving social welfare. However, regulations governing philanthropy in Indonesia are still relatively old-fashioned and have not accommodated the dynamics and complexities of todays philanthropic practices. This study uses a normative legal research method with a juridical-critical approach. The research results show that Law No. 9 of 1961 has not been able to answer the challenges and needs of todays philanthropy in Indonesia. Lack of assertiveness, limited scope, and underdevelopment of administrative requirements are obstacles to effective philanthropic governance. In addition, there is an imbalance of interests between philanthropic parties, beneficiaries, and the government, influencing the implementation and renewal of philanthropic policies. This research recommends law reform to improve philanthropic governance in Indonesia. Revision of Law No. 9 of 1961 must accommodate diverse philanthropic practices, emphasize corporate social responsibility, strengthen oversight mechanisms, and promote transparency and accountability in philanthropic practices. In addition, involving relevant actors such as philanthropic institutions, beneficiaries, government, and civil society in the renewal process is essential to reaching sustainable and inclusive agreements. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide valuable insights and recommendations for policymakers, legal practitioners, and related stakeholders to encourage the reform of Law No. 9 of 1961 to create more effective and sustainable philanthropic governance in Indonesi

Abstract

The evolving culture of our contemporary society continues to have an ongoing and profound effect on the practice of educational human resources management in university, because a good society can be performed through a good performance of individual. Human resources with a good performance can be a product of an excellent university. In realities, the excellent universities are changed by the good human resources including educational staffs, practicing central-office administrators and building principals who want to become more familiar with the field of human resources management. This article tries to discuss the management of quality educational human resources development in university. The effort to develop the quality of an education institution should start with the mapping of education resources which gears into several strategies in accordance with the condition of the institution. Furthermore, such an effort is oriented to meet the need of the institution.   Budaya masyarakat kontemporer kita yang terus berkembang terus memiliki efek yang terus berlanjut dan mendalam terhadap praktik pengelolaan sumber daya manusia pendidikan di universitas, karena masyarakat yang baik dapat dilakukan melalui kinerja individu yang baik. Sumber daya manusia dengan kinerja yang baik bisa menjadi produk universitas unggulan. Kenyataannya, universitas unggulan diubah oleh sumber daya manusia yang baik termasuk tenaga kependidikan, praktisi kantor pusat dan kepala sekolah yang ingin lebih mengenal bidang pengelolaan sumber daya manusia. Artikel ini mencoba membahas pengelolaan pengembangan sumber daya manusia pendidikan yang berkualitas di universitas. Upaya pengembangan kualitas lembaga pendidikan harus dimulai dengan pemetaan sumber daya pendidikan yang disesuaikan dengan beberapa strategi sesuai dengan kondisi institusi. Selanjutnya, upaya semacam itu berorientasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan institusi.

Abstract

A good society can be seen by the positive characteristics displayed by its people. A person with positive characteristic is a product of a good quality of education. It is said that education quality is influenced by the quality of teachers. Low-qualified teachers are mostly related with the system of teacher development and the low-qualified institutions whose aim is to educate the future teachers. This article discusses the orientation of teacher education that has been programmed by government for several years. It is listed in 10 basic competences of professional teacher. The program of certification as the professional guarantee is also one of parts of this article. It can be assumed that to solve any kinds of educational problems, the renewal of orientation in developing education paradigm is highly needed. Masyarakat yang baik hanya dapat dibentuk dengan menampilkan individu-individu dengan karakter baik. Individu yang berkarakter baik dapat dibentuk melalui pendidikan yang berkualitas. Sedangkan, kualitas pendidikan banyak dipengaruhi oleh kualitas guru. Rendahnya kualitas guru banyak berkaitan dengan pola pengembangan guru dan banyaknya lembaga pendidikan berkualitas rendah yang menghasilkan guru. Artikel ini membahas orientasi pendidikan guru yang dicanangkan pemerintah beberapa tahun ini. Program-program tersebut tercakup dalam 10 kompetensi dasar untuk profesionalisme guru. Program sertifikasi sebagai penjamin juga menjadi salah satu bahasan di sini. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk menyelesaikan masalah-masalah pendidikan, pembaharuan orientasi dalam pengembangan paradigma pendidikan sangat dibutuhkan.

Abstract

In general, science advancement products can be used to solve problems faced by people or society, especially in the quest for a more prosperous life. While religion is seen as an impediment to the progress of science. This paper provides a discussion of the search for truth in the perspective of religion and science. It is understandable that between science and religion in achieving the truth is not as a condition or a status, but a process. This reminds us that the ultimate truth belongs to God alone, whereas the truth that man achieves through both science and religion is a temporary truth. This happens because humans are only able to capture the signs of phenomena (qauniah and naqliah). The findings of the interpretation of these phenomena need to be values that are understood from God's revelation and become the basis of philosophical ethics. Secara umum produk-produk kemajuan sains (Ilmu Pegetahuan) dapat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan persoalan-persoalan yang dihadapi manusia atau masyarakat terutama dalam usahanya mencapai kehidupan yang lebih sejahtera. Sedangkan agama dipandang sebagai penghambat dari kemajuan sains. Tulisan ini memberikan  pembahasan mengenai pencarian kebenaran dalam perspektif agama dan sains. Dapat dipahami bahwa antara sains dan agama dalam mencapai kebenaran adalah bukan sebagai keadaan atau status, melainkan sebuah proses. Hal ini mengingatkan bahwa kebenaran hakiki itu hanyalah milik Allah semata, sedangkan kebenaran yang dicapai manusia baik melalui sains maupun agama adalah kebenaran sementara. Ini terjadi karena manusia hanya mampu menangkap tanda-tanda fenomena (qauniah dan naqliah).Temuan dari interpretasi fenomena tersebut perlu menjadi nilai-nilai yang dipahami dari wahyu Allah dan menjadi dasar etik filosofis.
