Abstract

This study investigates the rhetorical patterns in Nawābighul-Kalim by Zamakhshari, a literary work composed after the author reached the age of 42 in the eighth-century Hijri. The book contains richly embellished expressions that reflect his personal experiences and are intended as sources of wisdom and moral instruction. The primary aim of this research is to examine selected themes from the text and identify the rhetorical techniques employed. Although Nawābighul-Kalim has received considerable scholarly attention in the domain of grammatical analysis, little has been done to explore its rhetorical depth. To address this gap, the study adopts a retrieval method for documenting historical facts about the author, an inductive method for identifying rhetorical features, and a descriptive approach for analysing selected themes. The findings reveal the use of diverse rhetorical devices, including assonance, alliteration, antithesis, analogy, euphemism, twist, and distribution. This research, titled "Figurative Styles in Nawābighul-Kalim by Zamakhshari: A Rhetorical Analytical Study," highlights the author's artistic and rhetorical mastery while also drawing attention to the significance of the work within scholarly and academic contexts, particularly its inclusion in higher education curricula.

Abstract

يعد كتاب «نوابغ الكلم» لمؤلفه الشيخ أبي القاسم محمود بن محمد بن عمر الزمخشري الخوارزمي العباسي من الكنوز الأدبية، وقد جمع بدائع القول من آدابه الشخصية الحكمية المستمدة من الكتاب والسنة. وهناك شروح سبقت هذا البحث في شرح غرائب ألفاظ الكتاب، والحقيقة أن الشرح اللغوي وحده لا يكفي لإظهار قيمة الكتاب. ولهذا يرصد البحث لدراسة بلاغية معانية لهذا الكتاب للوقوف على مقدرة الشيخ في رسم المشاهد المختلفة بالتعبير الجميل المحلى بالفنون البلاغية. وقد صال البحث وجال في معالجة الموضوع على منهج الاسترداد التاريخي لإثبات الحقائق التاريخية، والمنهج الاستقرائي التام لحصر جميع جزئيات مسألة الموضوع البلاغية، ومنهج التحليل الوصفي للنماذج التأصيلية من الكتاب المدروس. وفي ضوء هذه المعطيات نتساءل: هل للشيخ الزمخشري إسهام ملموس وأثر محمود في الأعمال التطبيقية البلاغية التي تنم عن مكانته الرفيعة وعبقريته الفذة في تطوير فن الأدب الشخصي الذي يعتبر جزءا من الحكم. ومن أهم نتائج البحث، تطعيم المؤلف كتابه بالظواهر المعانية، والميل الشديد إلى التوظيف البلاغي للسجع بأنواعه. وأوصي الباحثين توسيع الدراسة البلاغية لهذا الكتاب من الجانب البياني والبديعي. The book “Nawabigh al-Kalim” is one of the literary works on personal ethics from the Qur’an and Sunnah. The issue of this book is on its place and importance among the writers and critics, and the turnout of educational institutions to prepare it within the courses, which increased its value. There had been preliminary study on the strangeness of the words of the book, and the fact that linguistic explanation alone is not enough to show its value. This is why the study is devoted to examining hostile rhetoric in this book to find out the ability of the Sheikh to draw different scenes with the beautiful local expression of rhetorical art. The research adopted the method of historical retrieval to prove the historical facts, and the inductive method to fully enumerate all the elements of rhetorical issues. While, the descriptive analysis method was used to identify its original models. Among the most important results of the research are, the author emphasizes on the phenomenon of suffering and the strong tendency to the recruitment of rhetorical types of grazing. The authors recommended the expansion of the rhetorical study of this book from the graphic and visual side.

Abstract

هذا البحث يرصد دراسة مناجيات البروفيسور زكريا إدريس أوبو حسين، دراسة أسلوبية، للوقوف على قدرة الكاتب في رسم المشاهد المختلفة في حالات النفس الإنسانية، والكشف عن مستويات المناجيات النصية، والتقديم لدلالات ما خلف النص بوصفه نصاً أدبياً خاضعاً للقراءة والتأويل. وقد تناولت الدراسة كتب مناجاته في مستوياتها الصوتية والتركيبية والدلالية محاولة لإجراء الدراسة الأسلوبية عند كل مستوى، فقد أورد البروفيسور الاستعارات والتشبيهات والكنايات بشكل تفاعلي مع الجو الملائم لكل مناجاة، وأهمية هذا البحث تظهر في قلة أمثاله في المكتبات التي تستقري مثل هذه النصوص الإسلامية الشريفة، والتي تستحق لفت النظر. وتم تقسيم الدراسة إلى أربعة مباحث، سبقهم ملخص، ومقدمة، وفي الخاتمة تم تسجيل أهم النتائج فضلا عن المصادر والمراجع، والله المستعان. Professor Zakariyau Idrees Oboh Oseni, is one of the prominent figures of Arabic and Islamic literature in Nigeria, working with University of Ilorin in Nigeria as an exemplary teacher, a writer and even a Critical critic. His poetic talent, literary ability, linguistic wealth, knowledge of the Noble Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah, made him succeed in the Art of Munajat, and succeed as a sincere scholar who raises the nation a high-level education. This Research aims to study the Munajat (Monologues) of Professor Zakariyau Idrees Oboh Oseni as a stylistic study, to determine the writer›s ability to draw different scenes in cases of the human soul, to reveal the levels of textual Monologues, and to present the implications of what is behind the text as a literary text subject to reading and interpretation. The Study dealt with his Monologue books in their phonetic, structural and semantic levels, an attempt to conduct a stylistic study at each level. This approach includes a set of principles and procedures that aid the study of the text as a scientific study, through method analysis. The research is divided into three sections, preceded by a summary, followed by a conclusion.
