Abstract

Polarisasi politik yang terjadi di tengah-tengah masyarakat saat ini, tidak terlepas dari berbagai sumber informasi yang diperoleh melalui berbagai media, terutama media sosial. Rangkaian informasi hoax yang bertubi-tubi mewarnai media sosial, berdampak bagi sikap pembacanya dalam menyikapi dinamika politik yang terjadi di Indonesia dengan mayoritas penikmat media sosial berada pada kategori pemilih pemula. Rentan nya pengaruh informasi hoax dalam mempengaruhi sikap politik pemilih pemula, membutuhkan proses panjang guna membangun kesadaran politik, salah satunya melalui kegiatan literasi politik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh literasi politik dan pemahaman politik pemilih pemula terhadap pengendalian informasi hoax pemilu, dengan mengacu pada teori literasi politik dan informasi hoax. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan terdapatnya kontribusi positif literasi politik dan pemahaman pemilu dalam pengendalian informasi hoax, dimana H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak dan H2 diterima dan H0 ditolak serta H3 diterima dan H0 ditolak dengan nilai hubungan sebesar 11,2%.

Abstract

Political campaign style is one of the strategies and plans in building the image and branding of candidate pairs. Prabowo-Gibran's campaign style has received quite a bit of attention from students. Where, students are one group of people who have the potential to become voters and are quite active in following political developments. The aim of this research is to find out and explain USU Political and Social Sciences students' perceptions of the 2024 Prabowo-Gibran campaign style. This research uses quantitative research methods with descriptive analysis using validity, reliability, simple regression tests and hypothesis testing techniques. The results of the research show that there is no influence on students' perceptions of the Prabowo - Gibran 2024 political campaign style. Significance value from the tablecoefficients obtained a significance value of 0.504 0.05 andtcount 0,672 ttable1,98932, so it can be concluded that variable X has no effect on variable Y, thus H0 accepted and H1 rejected. So student perceptions have no influence on the Prabowo – Gibran 2024 campaign style

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the influence of the socialization of the Covid-19 vaccine program on children by the Indonesian government has on the level of parental acceptance in Medan City. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach to 200 parents of elementary school students. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and data analysis was carried out by testing hypotheses through t-test and f-test and the coefficient of determination. The results of the study found that the outreach carried out by the government about the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine for children was not effective. This can be seen from the results of the coefficient of determination test, whether there is a level of trust of respondents in the information on the Covid-19 vaccine and whether there is a child's behavior in implementing the health protocol which is carried out simultaneously. regarding the respondent's attitude regarding Covid-19 vaccination for children, the respondent's acceptance rate was 14.1%. This shows the failure of the Indonesian government in socializing the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine for children in efforts to prevent Covid-19.

Abstract

Some time ago, Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Makarim launched a program called "Merdeka Learning" aimed at Universities / Colleges which is also known as the Independent Campus. The discourse conveyed by the Minister of Education and Culture regarding the Merdeka Campus has four policies in the scope of higher education, namely (1) Opening of new study programs, in which this program provides autonomy for State (PTN) and Private Universities (PTS) to open or establish new study programs, (2) Higher education accreditation system, (3) Freedom for PTN Public Service Agency (BLU) and Work Unit (Satker) to become PTN Legal Entity (PTN BH), (4) Right for students to take courses outside the study program and changing the definition of the Semester Credit System (SKS). The purpose of this study was to determine how the Medan State University Student Response to the Discourse of the Merdeka Campus. The data collection technique used in this study used several methods including literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. This data analysis technique uses a qualitative descriptive method which is used to describe a situation that is currently running at the time the research is carried out and examines the causes of a particular symptom, then analyzed by conducting a conceptual examination of a statement so that the clarity of the meaning contained in the statement can be obtained. the. Where all the speakers know the discourse on an independent campus that has been conveyed by the Minister of Education and Culture some time ago, but from the results of the interviews conducted in more depth, five people only approved and three people did not approve of the independent campus.

Abstract

Tourism objects are one of the business fields that are developing so fast and creating competition between one tourist attraction and another in reaching visitors or tourists. Tourist attractions are actively developing to improve existing tourist locations continuously and make updates related to marketing strategies. The purpose of this study was to determine the marketing communication strategy for Sawah Pematang Johar tourism to increase tourist visits. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. Data obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation using descriptive analysis techniques, which describe the events under study. In this study, the number of informants was 5 people, namely the owner of the rice fields, field officers, to tourists. The research location is in the tourism village of the Pematang johar rice field, Deli Serdang Regency. The results showed that in marketing, the village government used a communication strategy to attract tourists in three ways, namely promotion through social media in the form of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, MU television broadcasts, and word of mouth. The second activity is a place in the form of a comfortable, beautiful, and natural place. The third activity Price is in the form of very affordable entrance ticket prices. Abstract

The development of information currently circulating requires sorting and selecting actions for all information obtained to prevent hoax information. One of the people who must play a role is parents by providing an understanding of the importance of media literacy. This research aims to find out 1) the methods used by parents in supervising their children's use of gadgets and social media, and 2) the role of parents in carrying out media literacy in children so that they can minimize the negative impact usage of gadgets and social media. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews with three informants who already have children in their teens, and each owns a cellular phone. The analysis uses interpersonal communication theory by DeVito, He highlights the importance of effective communication in relationship development, emphasizing that it occurs within specific cultural, social, and environmental contexts. The results were processed by reducing the data, presenting the data, and verifying the data. The research results found that parents' actions towards children in monitoring the use of cellphones and social media are not an act of distrust towards children, but rather an effort to provide literacy to children about the impact of incorrect information.

Abstract

The government's policy on the learning system through network media during the COVID-19 pandemic has pros and cons in the community. For those who are pro against the policy, it is based on the consideration that health is far more important than gaining knowledge through face-to-face in order to anticipate the spread of the corona virus. Meanwhile, those who are against think that learning activities through the network will have an impact on the development of students/children in developing knowledge and the interaction process that is not going well during the pandemic. This study aims to determine how the influence of parental interpersonal communication on children's anxiety during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with data collection carried out through questionnaires to 400 respondents. The data obtained were then analyzed using SPSS 25.0 software for windows. The results of the study found that interpersonal communication between parents and children carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic related to children's education greatly influenced the development of children's education. The learning system that takes place in a network, makes parents and students experience very significant obstacles. In addition, the learning process through the network also affects the psychology of children's growth and development.
