Abstract

The development of technology in education has a significant impact on the learning process, including the use of interactive learning media. This study aims to design and implement a puzzle-based game application as a learning aid media at SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang. The main focus of this application is to motivate students and improve their understanding of science subjects through an enjoyable approach. The puzzle game media is designed to address the boredom often experienced with conventional learning methods, such as lectures. The development process uses a phased system development method, which includes needs analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation. This application consists of three main parts: the main menu, level menu, and the game. Each level presents a challenge that encourages students to assemble puzzle pieces to form a complete image, followed by a display of learning material. The use of this application is expected to improve students' concentration, interest, and learning quality by combining educational and entertainment elements. Evaluation results show that this application is effective as a learning media, providing a more interactive learning experience, and can serve as a reference for the future development of technology-based learning media.

Abstract

The Community-Based Empowerment Scheme Service Program within the scope of Community Partnership Empowerment aims to digitize the management of halal tourism at Agrowisata Lambung Bukit through the implementation of website-based QR Code technology. This service program was initiated by lecturers from Nahdlatul Ulama University of West Sumatra with the aim of increasing the efficiency of tourism data management and expanding the promotion of Agrowisata. The QR Code allows quick and efficient access to relevant information, such as details about the agrotourism managed by the Community Empowerment Forum partners in Lambung Bukit Subdistrict, Padang City. This system facilitates tourists in planning their visits while also assisting agrotourism managers in monitoring visitor data and optimizing services. Additionally, the website integrated with the QR Code functions as a digital marketing platform, reaching a wider audience, both local and international. The results of the program show that the use of website-based QR Codes successfully improved data management efficiency and strengthened the agrotourism’s position in attracting halal tourists. The application of this technology is expected to enhance the competitiveness of Lambung Bukit Subdistrict’s agrotourism and support local economic growth through increased tourist visits. This activity also involves training and mentoring to improve the partners’ knowledge and skills in digital management. The program results indicate increased management efficiency, expanded promotion, and support for local economic growth.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to determine the level of entrepreneurial interest among sugar palm farmers in Agam Regency; and (2) to identify the factors influencing the formation of entrepreneurial interest among these farmers. The research was conducted from April to May 2024. Agam Regency was selected as the research site due to its status as a central hub for palm sugar production in West Sumatra. This study employed a survey methodology. The sample consisted of 60 farmers who were members of Local Cooperative Groups (LKM). Respondents were selected using a combination of cluster sampling and simple random sampling techniques. A quantitative descriptive method was applied, and data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS).The results revealed that farmers affiliated with LKM exhibited a moderate level of entrepreneurial interest. The factors directly influencing the entrepreneurial intentions of LKM members are categorized as follows: belief in entrepreneurial interest, tendency to take action, need for new employment opportunities, and confidence in entrepreneurial feasibility. Both endogenous and exogenous factors affecting entrepreneurial intention among LKMA members include demographic characteristics, personality traits, psychological aspects, perceptions of LKMA, entrepreneurial abilities, surrounding environment, and social aspects. The structure of entrepreneurial intention accounts for 70% of the variance, as indicated by an R² value of 0.70. Keywords: Entrepreneurial Intention, Entrepreneurial Intention, Entrepreneurial Intention, Partial Least Squares (PLS)

Abstract

Penjualan adalah sebuah kegiatan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan dengan menawarkan produk atau jasa kepada pembeli. Setiap produk atau jasa yang ditawarkan merupakan sesuatu yang dibutuhkan oleh setiap orang. Setiap bulan total sprei Kasur yang terjual itu berbeda-beda tergantung bagaimana kebutuhan setiap orang. Simulasi Monte Carlo digunakan untuk memprediksi penjualan sprei Kasur sehingga diketahui berapa stok sprei kasur yang harus disediakan setiap bulan pada tahun berikutnya. Data yang digunakan adalah data penjualan selama 3 tahun yang bersumber dari toko coco alugada. Data penjualan yang digunakan berbeda-beda setiap tahunnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah Monte Carlo dan bahasa pemograman yang digunakan adalah PHP untuk simulasi prediksi penjualan sprei. Tahapan awal dalam simulasi ini adalah menentukan distribusi probabilitas untuk setiap variabel. Kemudian distribusi kumulatif ditentukan untuk masing-masing variabel dan interval angka acak untuk tiap-tiap variabel. Selanjutnya bilangan acak dibentuk dan dibuat simulasi dari percobaan. Hasil dari pengujian yang dilakukan dari simulasi Monte Carlo tahun 2022 didapatkan  tingkat akurasi prediksi sebesar 90%. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memprediksi total penjualan setiap bulanya pada tahun berikutnya. Pengujian yang dilakukan menjadi acuan untuk mempersiapkan stok sprei kasur untuk 6 bulan pada tahun berikutnya. Tingkat akurasi 90% dapat direkomendasikan untuk menetukan stok sprei kasur yang akan disediakan untuk 6 bulan pertama pada tahun berikutnya.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including tourism and cultural preservation. One of the cultural heritages located in Solok Selatan Regency is the Seribu Rumah Gadang Cultural Heritage Area, which holds high historical and cultural value. However, limited information regarding the location and description of tourist attractions in this area causes many people and tourists to be unaware of its existence. This research aims to develop a Geographic Information System (GIS) based on Android by utilizing ArcGIS as a platform for mapping the location points of the Seribu Rumah Gadang Cultural Heritage. The system not only displays the location of tourist objects but also provides additional information such as historical descriptions, addresses, and other details to help tourists obtain accurate information. With this application, it is expected to improve information accessibility, support cultural preservation, and contribute to tourism development in Solok Selatan Regency.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic non-communicable disease with a steadily increasing prevalence worldwide, posing a significant public health challenge due to its potential for severe complications if not managed properly. In many healthcare facilities, including RSUD Pariaman, there is still no structured system to classify patients according to the severity of their condition, which hampers timely intervention and optimal resource allocation. This study aims to develop and implement a web-based system for clustering the severity levels of type 2 diabetes mellitus using the K-Means Clustering algorithm as a decision support tool for medical staff. A quantitative system development research design was applied, utilizing secondary medical records from January 2023 to December 2024, with five clinical variables: Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), Fasting Blood Glucose (GDP), Systolic Blood Pressure (TDS), Diastolic Blood Pressure (TDD), and Body Mass Index (BMI). The system was built using the CodeIgniter PHP framework, MySQL database, and Bootstrap-based interface, following the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) process for data preprocessing. K-Means clustering was configured into three categories (mild, moderate, and severe). Validation using RapidMiner confirmed that the clustering results from the web-based system were consistent with the benchmark model, ensuring the correctness of the algorithm’s implementation. The developed system enables real-time data processing, displays results in both tabular and graphical forms, and provides an intuitive interface for medical personnel, thus supporting clinical decision-making and improving healthcare service quality.

Abstract

Indonesia, as an archipelagic nation, holds significant potential for the development of freshwater commodities, particularly catfish. Catfish farming is feasible in limited spaces but is susceptible to various diseases, resulting in substantial losses for farmers. This study aims to develop an expert system based on the forward chaining method, designed to diagnose catfish diseases according to observed symptoms and provide treatment solutions without requiring direct expert consultation. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through literature reviews and expert interviews. The developed expert system was implemented using MATLAB to generate accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations. The results show that the system can accurately recognize different types of catfish diseases based on the symptoms provided. It also gives suitable treatment options, helping farmers learn about the disease, its symptoms, and the right ways to treat it. This makes farming more efficient and reduces the damage caused by diseases.

Abstract

Corn is one of the most important food crops in Indonesia, but it is highly susceptible to various diseases that can significantly reduce yield. Diagnosing corn diseases typically requires agricultural experts, whose availability is often limited in rural areas. This research aims to develop an expert system to diagnose corn diseases using the Forward Chaining method. The system was built using PHP and MySQL with the CodeIgniter framework. The methodology included requirement analysis, system design using Unified Modeling Language (UML), implementation, and testing. The knowledge base was obtained from agricultural experts and existing literature, consisting of symptoms, diseases, and their corresponding solutions. Forward Chaining was applied to match user-selected symptoms with predefined rules to produce a diagnosis. The test results indicate that the system can accurately diagnose diseases based on the rules, helping farmers identify problems early and providing recommended solutions without requiring direct expert assistance. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of expert systems in agricultural disease management and offers a potential solution for farmers facing limited access to agricultural experts.

Abstract

Abstract: (GIS) application to map the locations of gambier warehouses in Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The background of this study is the absence of a reliable information system that can provide accurate spatial data and details about the locations of gambier warehouses. This lack of information often hinders farmers, consumers, and local authorities in accessing and managing data effectively. The application was developed using ArcGIS technology, Java programming language, and Android Studio. Data collection was conducted through field observation and interviews with warehouse owners. The result of this study is an interactive map-based application that simplifies the process of locating gambier warehouses and presents visual data to support strategic decision-making. This application is expected to enhance distribution efficiency and contribute positively to the economic welfare of the local community. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah belum tersedianya sistem informasi yang mampu memberikan data spasial dan informasi yang akurat mengenai letak gudang gambir, sehingga menyulitkan petani, konsumen, maupun pihak pemerintah dalam mengakses dan mengelola informasi tersebut. Dalam proses pengembangan aplikasi ini digunakan teknologi ArcGIS, bahasa pemrograman Java, dan Android Studio. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara dengan pemilik gudang. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah aplikasi yang mampu menampilkan peta interaktif lokasi gudang gambir, mempermudah pengguna dalam pencarian informasi lokasi, dan memberikan data visual yang mendukung pengambilan keputusan strategis. Aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi distribusi gambir serta memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat lokal. Abstract

Abstract: Padang City holds various historical relics from the Dutch colonial era, which possess significant historical value and high tourism potential. However, information regarding the locations and descriptions of these relics is still scattered and difficult to access in an integrated manner. This study aims to design and implement an Android-based Geographic Information System (GIS) that presents an interactive map containing the locations, descriptions, and photos of the heritage sites, along with a regional filter feature to facilitate navigation. The development process began with data collection from the Tourism Office and field observations, followed by map processing in ArcMap, publication to ArcGIS Online, and the creation of an Android application using ArcGIS Maps SDK and Jetpack Compose. Integration with a MySQL database allows the automatic display of location points on the map. The implementation results show that the application can display 33 heritage site points in three districts of Padang City, complete with descriptions, photos, district filters, and Web Map integration. Testing demonstrated that the application runs smoothly, is informative and interactive, and can support cultural preservation efforts while encouraging interest in historical tourism in Padang City. Abstrak: Kota Padang menyimpan berbagai peninggalan bersejarah dari masa kolonial Belanda yang memiliki nilai sejarah dan potensi wisata tinggi. Namun, informasi mengenai lokasi dan deskripsi peninggalan tersebut masih tersebar dan sulit diakses secara terpadu. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) berbasis Android yang menyajikan peta interaktif berisi lokasi, deskripsi, foto peninggalan, serta dilengkapi fitur filter wilayah untuk memudahkan penelusuran. Proses pengembangan diawali dengan pengumpulan data dari Dinas Pariwisata dan observasi lapangan, dilanjutkan dengan pengolahan peta di ArcMap, publikasi ke ArcGIS Online, serta pembuatan aplikasi Android menggunakan ArcGIS Maps SDK dan Jetpack Compose. Integrasi dengan basis data MySQL memungkinkan penampilan titik lokasi secara otomatis pada peta. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan aplikasi mampu menampilkan 33 titik peninggalan di tiga kecamatan di Kota Padang, lengkap dengan deskripsi, foto, filter kecamatan, dan integrasi Web Map. Hasil pengujian membuktikan aplikasi berjalan lancar, informatif, dan interaktif sehingga dapat mendukung upaya pelestarian budaya, dan mendorong peningkatan minat wisata sejarah di Kota Padang.
