Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the effect of Bokashi and NPK on the growth and yield of watermelons. This research was conducted in farmers' fields Jalan Palembang, Kulim on KM15, Pekanbaru. The study lasted three months starting in December 2015 until March 2016. The study was conducted experimentally using a randomized block design (RCBD) factorial consisting of two factors: Bokashi and NPK with three replications. The first factor was Bokashi (M) which consists of three levels is:M1(5 ton / ha), M2 (7 tonnes / ha) M3 (10 ton / ha) and the second factor is the NPK (S) consisting of 3 levels namely: S1 (350 kg / ha), S2 (700 kg / ha),S3 (1050 kg / ha). Parameters those measured were plant length, number of leaves, flowering age, harvesting age, and fresh weight of fruit per plant. The results showed that the interaction of Bokashi and NPK application significantly affected the length of the plant, number of leaves, and the weight of fruit per plant. Award Bokashi 7 tonnes /ha and 350 kg NPK / ha gives good results on the growth and yield of watermelons.   Keywords: watermelon, Bokashi fertilizers, NPK.

Abstract

Sweet corn widely used because it contains nutrients and high sugar content reralif. To produce high-yielding sweet corn and good quality, should consider the availability of nutrients in the soil. One effort to do that is by giving organic and inorganic fertilizers. One that includes organic fertilizer is chicken manure. While that includes inorganic fertilizer NPK compound fertilizer. The study aims to determine the effect of the combination of chicken manure with NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn and get treatment chicken manure and NPK fertilizer that gives the best effect. This research was conducted at the experimental station of Agriculture Faculty University of Riau. This study is an experiment using a randomized block design RAK consists of 6 treatments and repeated 4 times . The treatment is a combination of chicken manure with NPK fertilizer which consist of: P1 = 10 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to                    100 kg/ha of NPK , P2 = 20 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to 200 kg/ha of NPK, P3 = 10 tonnes /ha of chicken manure to 300 kg/ha NPK , P4 = 20 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to 200 kg/ha of NPK, P5 = 10 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to 300 kg/ha of NPK, P6 = 20 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to 300 kg / ha of NPK. Based on the results of this study concluded that giving treatment chicken manure 10-20 tonnes/ha and NPK fertilizer 100-200 kg/ha gives the best results on the growth and yield of sweet corn . Keywords: Sweet Corn, Chicken Manure Fertilizer NPK

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was aimed to know influence of bokashi fertlizer to get the growth and production of pakcoy and to get the effective dose of bokashi fertilizer. The research was conducted at the experimental farm of Faculty of Agriculture University of Riau from April 2016 to May 2016. The study was carried out experiments using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of one Factor that bokashi fertilizer with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The observation made are measuring of plant height, number of leaves, fresh wieght of plant on plots, fresh weight of plant, heavy of plant for consumption and ratio heading roots. The results showed that given of some dose bokashi fertilizer influencing pakcoy on all parameters, and given of 3 ton/ha bokashi fertilizer is the most effective dose for the growth and production of pakhcoy.
