<![CDATA[Abstract: The Development of Industry Embroidery to Strengthen The Core Competency Local Industry (A Study of The Development of Industry in Kecamatan Bangil Sentra Embroidery, Kabupaten Pasuruan). The production of embroidery widespread in Kabupaten pasuruan especially in Kecamatan bangil. Embroidery industry in Kabupaten pasuruan has become the core competence of local industry (KIID). The purpose of this study was to describe the Efforts of the Government and industry entrepreneurs in developing embroidery industry to Strengthen KIID. This research method using descriptive qualitative. The analysis of data using the interactive analysis of data. The results showed that there was a development undertaken by local Governments and employers to develop the embroidery industry. The development is contained in a supporting factor is the support of the local government as well as the geographic location, while inhibiting factor is the quantity of human resources. Keywords: Embroidery industry, The Core Competency Local Industry.  Abstrak: Pengembangan Indutri Bordir untuk Memperkuat Kompetensi Inti Industri Daerah (Studi pada Sentra Industri Bordir Kecamatan Bangil, Kabupaten Pasuruan). Produksi bordir tersebar di seluruh kecamatan Kabupaten Pasuruan terutama Kecamatan Bangil. Industri bordir di Kabupaten Pasuruan sudah menjadi Kompetensi Inti Industri Daerah (KIID). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan upaya pemerintah dan pengusaha industri bordir dalam mengembangkan Industri bordir untuk memperkuat KIID. Metode  penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Analisis data dalam penelitian menggunakan analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengembangan yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah daerah dan pengusaha untuk mengembangkan industri bordir. Hal yang dikembangkan meliputi sumber daya manusia, dimana pemerintah memberikan pelatihaan dan pendampingan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengusaha, selain itu pemerintah juga membantu sarana prasarana dengan membangun sentra industri. Selama ini untuk mengembangkan industri pengusaha dan pemerintah daerah melakukan pemasaran dan promosi produk, meningkatkan daya inovasi serta membentuk asosiasi. Adapun dalam pengembangannya terdapat faktor pendukung yaitu adanya dukungan dari pemerintah daerah serta letak geografis, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah kuantitas sumber daya manusia.
