<![CDATA[Abstract:The research purpose is to understand the effect of learning method problem solving ability of mathematic story in the self efficacy perspective. Method which usedto their research is experiment using desigm treartment bya level 2 × 2. The result of research show that : (1) problem solving ability of mathematic story with Problem Based Learning method is higher than problem solving ability mathematic story with Cooperatif type Group Investigation method; (2) there is effect between learning method and self efficacy to problem solving abbility of mathematic story; (3) on high self efficacy student group, problem solving ability of mathematic story with Problem Based Learning is higher than student who learn with Cooperative type Group Investigation method; (4) on low self efficaccy student group, problem solving ability of mathematics story with Problem Based Learning is lower than student who learn with Cooperative type Group Investigasi method. Based on research’s result, the conclusion is and self efficacy give effect on problem solving ablity of mathematic story. The recommendation for teacher is to implement Problem Based Learning method as alternative way to enhance problem solving ability of mathematic story.Key word: learning method, self efficacy, problem solving ability of mathematic storyAbstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika ditinjau dari efikasi diri.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain treatment by level 2 x 2.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika dengan metode Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi dari kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika yang belajar dengan metode Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigasi, (2) Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika, (3)Pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki efikasi diri tinggi, kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika melalui metode Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi dari siswa yang belajar melalui metode Kooperatif Tipe Group, (4)Pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki efikasi diri rendah, kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika yang belajar melalui metode Problem Based Learning lebih rendah dari siswa yang belajar melalui metode Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigasi.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran dan efikasi diri berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika. Rekomendasi bagi guru adalah agar menerapkan metode Problem Based Learningsebagai salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penyelesaian soal cerita matematika.Kata kunci: metode pembelajaran, efikasi diri, kemampuan penyelesaian matematika.]]>
