Abstract

The Modern Annida Islamic Boarding School is one of the pesantren located in South Lampung Regency. The teaching and learning process in this pesantren integrates the national curriculum with additional religious studies. However, at the Modern Annida Islamic Boarding School, the interest of students at the senior high school (SMA) level remains lower than that of students at the junior high school (SMP) level. Senior high school students are perceived as lacking sufficient competencies to be workforce-ready. Digital Graphic Design is a form of visual communication that presents information, products, or services through digital interfaces. Simply put, digital graphic design is specifically created for use on computers. Several methods can be applied to train students in digital graphic design at schools, including discussions, demonstrations, experiments, problem-solving, and lectures. By utilizing a Digital Graphic Design approach, the aim is to make education at the senior high school level in the Modern Annida Islamic Boarding School more engaging and less monotonous, with the hope that junior high school students will be encouraged to continue their education at the senior high school level within the institution. In this training, students are not only introduced to basic photo editing techniques using Adobe Photoshop but are also encouraged to develop creativity, which is highly essential in today's digital era. This program successfully sparked the students' interest in exploring their talents in graphic design, which could potentially become a source of income in the future.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid growth of the delivery service industry and the importance of customer feedback in competition, especially for ID Express which has a mobile application. The main issue raised is how to analyse the sentiment of customer reviews on the ID Express app on the Google Play Store to improve service quality. User reviews, although rich in information, have not been optimally utilised, making it difficult for companies to understand user perceptions. In this study, we develop a new method to analyse the sentiment of ID Express app user reviews. This method integrates Naïve Bayes algorithm with Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO)-based feature selection optimisation technique to produce more accurate analysis. The method used includes collecting user review data from the Google Play Store (2020-2023), preprocessing the data, implementing the Naïve Bayes algorithm, and applying PSO for feature selection. Model performance was tested with accuracy and F-measure metrics using 90:10 and 80:20 data sharing ratios. The results showed that the Naïve Bayes algorithm with PSO produced 52% accuracy at 90:10 ratio and 63% at 80:20 ratio, with F-measure values of 43% and 55% respectively. In conclusion, the use of PSO as feature selection improves the accuracy and F-measure of sentiment analysis using Naïve Bayes, especially at a data sharing ratio of 80:20.

Abstract

Customer segmentation is a crucial process in e-commerce that allows businesses to tailor their marketing strategies to specific customer groups. This research applies the DBSCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise) algorithm to segment customers based on their demographic and behavioral data. The dataset used includes variables such as age, annual income, total spending, and campaign engagement, which are essential for identifying meaningful patterns within the customer base. The DBSCAN algorithm was chosen due to its ability to detect clusters of arbitrary shapes and handle noise, making it ideal for complex e-commerce datasets. The analysis identified one dominant customer segment, with a small portion of the data labeled as noise, indicating that the majority of customers exhibit similar behaviors. However, the results also highlight the challenge of parameter selection for DBSCAN, as the clustering outcome was sensitive to the chosen values of ε (epsilon) and MinPts. The segmentation revealed valuable insights, such as the fact that most customers share similar characteristics in terms of spending habits and engagement, yet a few outliers exist who do not align with these patterns. These findings provide a foundation for businesses to develop targeted marketing strategies based on customer segmentation. Despite the promising results, the study acknowledges limitations in the segmentation process, particularly with the influence of outliers and the need for further tuning of the algorithm's parameters. Future research could explore hybrid clustering models that combine DBSCAN with other techniques, as well as incorporating additional behavioral features for more refined segmentation. The insights gained from this research can guide businesses in crafting personalized marketing campaigns that cater to distinct customer segments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengusulkan sistem pengenalan wajah pelaku kriminal berbasis sketsa yang menggabungkan segmentasi citra dan Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR). Alur kerja dimulai dari pra-proses (penyetaraan resolusi 1800×2400, grayscaling) dan ekstraksi koefisien DC pada blok 8×8 untuk menonjolkan energi citra, dilanjutkan segmentasi Multi-Otsu Thresholding guna menghasilkan representasi vektor tiga wilayah sebagai data training basis data wajah. Tahap penelusuran menggunakan CBIR dengan ukuran kemiripan Euclidean Distance antara sketsa kueri dan fitur citra tersegmentasi pada basis data. Evaluasi dilakukan pada kumpulan data berukuran 1.080 citra yang merepresentasikan ±50 identitas (≈20 citra/identitas) dengan skenario kueri berulang; metrik yang dilaporkan meliputi presisi dan waktu proses. Hasil menunjukkan presisi rata-rata 82% dengan waktu proses rata-rata 11,51 detik per kueri, serta variasi presisi 60%–100% pada berbagai identitas. Integrasi segmentasi Multi-Otsu pada tahap indeksasi terbukti membantu memisahkan objek–latar dan menstabilkan pencocokan berbasis sketsa. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kombinasi ekstraksi DC + segmentasi berbasis ambang multi-kelas + CBIR efektif untuk skenario sketch-to-photo forensik, dengan potensi penguatan di pekerjaan lanjut melalui modifikasi segmentasi dan skema pembelajaran metrik

Abstract

MSMEs or micro small and medium enterprises is a productive business entity that operates independently and can be owned by individuals or companies in all economic sectors in west tulang bawang MSMEs has not fully utilized web technology for online promotion and ordering currently the sale of MSMEs products is still done traditionally and data recording is still done manually in books which has the potential to cause loss damage or data manipulation to overcome this problem the rapid application development method is used with UML tools such as use case diagrams activity class and sequence the database used is MySQL the result of this research is an online sales and ordering system that allows MSMEs owners to manage product data confirm orders and print reports the admin part can see sales data and reports while consumers can make order transactions up to payment
