Abstract

The quality of students is the main characteristic of a person, whether individual or group. To strengthen the quality of a student, there is a real need for an Integrated Islamic Boarding School Education system. The Integrated Islamic Boarding School Education System is classified as a democratic Islamic Boarding School type where the Islamic Boarding School system always holds deliberations with the entire board of teachers and staff in determining every decision that will be taken. Integrated Islamic Boarding Schools are classified as a democratic type of Islamic Boarding School where the Islamic Boarding School system always holds deliberations with the entire board of teachers and staff. In determining every decision to be taken. This research is a qualitative research. Research that describes data content, data quotations and provides an overview of report presentation through direct observation, interviews and documentary studies. The implementation of the integrated Islamic Boarding School education system at Darul Ulum in an effort to improve the quality of students is an Integrated Islamic Boarding School education system of the democratic Islamic Boarding School type where the Islamic Boarding School system always holds deliberations with the entire board of teachers and staff in determining every decision that will be taken. This integrated education system carries out its management role by not providing boundaries or differences between ustadz/ustadzah, staff and administration. They blend into one unit. By making efforts to apply the programs that have been planned and prepared by the integrated Islamic boarding school education system. Also evaluating the quality of student education programs which is carried out once a week.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan oleh guru pada pembelajaran PAI kelas IV di SDN Gendro 2 Tutur masih terlihat konvensional. Masih dapat dijumpai cara menyampaikan bahan pelajaran semata. Model pembelajaran seperti ini, guru biasanya berdiri di depan kelas, menghadapi sejumlah siswa dan menjelaskan isi pelajaran. Siswa pada umumnya duduk dengan rapi mendengarkan penjelasan guru dan mencatat jika perlu. Perilaku siswa adalah duduk, dengar, catat, dan hafalan. Situasi kelas pada proses pembelajaran seperti ini bersifat pasif dan verbalistis. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan sebagai solusi adalah model pembelajaran problem basic learning (PBL). Dengan model pembelajaran problem basic learning siswa akan diajak untuk berfikir kritis atas suatu permasalahan dan berupaya mencari jawaban atas permasalah tersebut sehingga siswa akan menjadi aktif dalam pembelajaran PAI. Berdasarkan pemaparan latar belakang di atas, dapat dirumuskan beberapa permasalahan sebagai berikut: Bagaimana penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Basic Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran PAI, Bagaimana peningkatan hasil belajar PAI Kurikulum Merdeka setelah diterapkan Model Pembelajaran Problem Basic Learning (PBL) .Bagaimana kelebihan dan kelemahan penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Basic Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar PAI Kelas IV di SDN Gendro 2 Tutur Kabupaten Pasuruan? Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Penerapan model PBL dalam pembelajaran PAI sebagai berikut: mengorientasikan siswa terhadap masalah, mengatur pembelajaran siswa, memberikan bimbingan penyelidikan individu dan kelompok, mengembangkan dan menyajikan hasil kerja, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan masalah. Hasil belajar PAI mengalami peningkatan. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan prosentase hasil nilai individu siswa dengan ketuntasan sebesar 78% atau sebanyak 18 siswa dengan rata-rata kelas 77, dengan nilai sebelumnya hanya tuntas 12 siswa (52%). 3) Kelebihan dalam PBL adalah kesesuaian dengan kurikulum merdeka yang digunakan sekolah, termasuk sarana dan prasarana multimedia, kreativitas guru, dan kondisi lingkungan. Sedangkan kekurangan dari penggunaan model PBL ini adalah sulitnya membangkitkan ide siswa dan waktu yang terbatas. Adapun saran dalam penelitian yaitu pengelolaan kelas yang baik dan penggunaan model atau metode pembelajaran yang kooperatif dan inovatif akan dapat mencapai kualitas hasil belajar yang maksimal serta memberi kesempatan kepada siswa untuk berperan aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar Kata kunci: Model Pembelajaran, Hasil Belajar, dan PAI

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon of student delinquency which has recently become increasingly worrying, such as: brawls between students, promiscuity among teenagers, drug abuse and so on, from these problems teachers, especially Islamic religious education teachers, have a duty and role to improve behavior. Islamic students. The focus of the research in this case is knowing the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in the formation of Islamic character, knowing the formation of character education by Islamic Religious Education teachers, knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors for Islamic Religious Education teachers in forming the character of class VII-A MTs students. al Huriyah Rejoso Pasuruan. This research was prepared based on field data using a qualitative approach. Data collected using observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, for the analysis, the researcher used descriptive qualitative, namely in the form of a comprehensive description and description of the data collected about the actual situation. The results of this research indicate that Islamic religious education teachers play a role in shaping students' Islamic behavior. The role of teachers as educators in shaping students' Islamic behavior in class VII-A MTs students. al Huriyah Rejoso Pasuruan, namely by always guiding and developing students to behave Islamically on a daily basis.

Abstract

The focus of the research in this case is to find out the role of Islamic religious education teachers in forming the Islamic character of class VII MTs students. Al Huriyah Rejoso Pasuruan, knows about the formation of character education by Islamic religious education teachers for class VII MTs students. Al Huriyah Rejoso Pasuruan, knows the supporting and inhibiting factors for Islamic religious education teachers in forming the character of class VII MTs students. Al Huriyah Rejoso Pasuruan. This research was prepared based on field data using a qualitative approach. Data collected using participant observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, for the analysis, the researcher used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques, namely in the form of a comprehensive description and description of the data collected about the actual situation. The results of this research indicate that Islamic religious education teachers play a role in shaping students' Islamic behavior. Abstract

Musyawirin activities are also called book deliberation activities, which are reading, studying and discussing in depth the contents of a book. This activity is one of the learning traditions in Islamic boarding schools. In practice, this deliberation fully adapts the existing implementation in Islamic boarding schools. Through this musyawirin activity they can practice and deepen their knowledge.The focus and research objectives in this study are, what is the role of deliberation activities, how are deliberative activities carried out, what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of deliberative activities in preserving the pesantren tradition among youth in Sumberdawesari grati pasuruan village. The type of research used by researchers is a type of qualitative research using an ethnographic approach. Sources of data used by researchers are primary and secondary. The results of the research are that the role of musyawirin activities is as a place to practice and deepen religious knowledge, as well as train self-confidence and emotion. The implementation of musyawirin includes; the structure in which there is; qori', mubayyin, mushohih, and mustami'in, then the implementation is on Wednesday night and the books studied are fathul qorib, fathul mu'in, and jamal. A flexible place and colleagues are the supporting factors for this activity, while lazy, inferior , and the lack of pious people is the inhibiting factor of these activities.

Abstract

This study investigates the leadership strategies of principals in fostering religious culture within Islamic senior high schools. Conducted at MAS Sunan Ampel Kejayan and MA Miftahul Ulum Kalirejo in Pasuruan, East Java, the research applies a qualitative multi-site case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed thematically. Findings indicate that effective religious culture building is driven by three interrelated strategies. First, principals serve as role models who consistently embody Islamic values through daily practices and moral decision-making. Second, religious values are institutionalized through school policies, integrated curricula, structured programs, and symbolic environments that reinforce spiritual life. Third, leadership is exercised in a participative and responsive manner, teachers, students, and parents are actively involved, and the principals adapt their approaches based on students’ psychosocial contexts. This study affirms that successful religious culture in Islamic schools depends not only on formal instruction but also on the principal’s capacity to lead by example and create a systemic environment that sustains those values. It contributes to the literature on transformational and values-based leadership in Islamic education, with practical implications for leadership training and school development.

Abstract

Abstract Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of supervisory management in improving the quality of education at Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Karangpandan Rejoso Pasuruan, exploring how systematic supervision contributes to educational excellence in Islamic boarding schools. Design/methodology/approach: A qualitative approach with case study design was employed, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research subjects included pesantren administrators, teachers, and students, with data analyzed through thematic analysis. Research limitations/implications: The study is limited to a three-year period (2021-2023) and focuses specifically on human resource management and educational processes rather than financial or physical resource aspects. Findings: Results indicate that systematic and continuous supervisory management significantly impacts educational quality improvement. Intensive and structured supervision enhances learning quality, student discipline, and teacher professionalism through integrated planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up mechanisms. Originality/value: This research contributes an effective supervisory management model for pesantren education by examining the unique hybrid approach combining traditional Islamic boarding school methods with modern management elements, applicable to similar institutions nationwide.
