Abstract

During this time, the position of External Debt (ED) government has always had the exposure risk from a fluctuations in foreign currency exchange rates to USDollar. Usually, the ED values to swell because of the risk of weakening of the Rupiah against the USDollar. This study aims to look at the effectiveness of hedging strategies on the management of the government's foreign debt of Indonesia to the risk of exchange rate fluctuations of US dollar, by making a simulation of hedging forward contracts. A hedging strategy with a new forward contract will be executed if the rate exceeds Rp 10,000 per USDollar as psychological level. In this simulation, the Government applied a hedging strategy by purchasing forward contracts. This purchasing strategy will generate profits only when the values of forward contracts of USD / IDR weakened at the maturity date later. But if the opposite happens, then potential losses will occur. To minimize the potential loss, wee need this necessary analysis of historical and technical movement of the rupiah against the USDollar, followed by mechanisms of active trading. Active trading allows the government took the position prior purchases or sales in forward contracts advance, depending on the signal and market trends that occurred at that time. By hedging forward contracts, the resulting changes in the value of external debt on the simulation type 2 is much lower. In other words, it shows that the real strengthening of the rupiah with hedging strategies can ease the burden of official external debt, so it can be quite effective to reduce the external debt burden of the government when the time payment or maturity date is come.

Abstract

This paper investigates the relationship between credit, fiscal policy and income inequality in Indonesia. Annual data collected from Central Statistic Bureau is used from 2010 to 2020. The analytical method of this research is Genralized Least Square (GLS) to examine the relationship between variables. The results show that credit positively and significantly affects income inequality. Local government spending which is a proxy for fiscal policy has a significant and positive effect on income inequaity. The inflation variable has a significant positive effect on income inequality. However, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDRP) per capita has a significant negative effect on income inequality. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the government be able to maintain the momentum of the increasing trend of economic growth by providing the right stimulus, among others by providing access to credit that is easier to reach for the low-income class. In addition, local government expenditure allocations should be better allocated to provide benefits for increasing community income, such as social assistance in the form of direct assistance or free job training by utilizing job training centers tailored to each region's potential.

Abstract

This study aims to conceptually discuss the potential framework for an impactful technopreneurship education in response to the dynamic business environment. An integrative review based on the selected pertinent literature was utilized to undertake this study. Unlike a systematic review, the integrative review does not aim to cover all articles published on the topic but combines perspectives and insights from different fields or research traditions. Several steps were involved in conducting an integrative review comprising of defining the research questions, conducting a comprehensive search, screening and selecting studies, extracting data and analyzing findings, drawing conclusions and making recommendation. The changes in curriculum and learning processes as well as academic transformation by embedding technological innovation and capacity building are the main priorities in preparing technopreneurs. To prepare reliable technopreneurs, while it is important to focus on technological innovation and capacity building, yet to integrate these two aspects, collaboration is the key word hence the collaboration among universities, the business world, government, media, and the community becomes one of the interesting routes that need to be developed. The pentahelix collaboration plays a major role in the cycle of the technopreneurship from the idea formulation, research, precommercialization, commercialization and embarking the advanced market.
