Abstract

After the reform of 1998, the group Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia and the Shia Imami growing rapidly in Indonesia. Both groups have a controversy in Indonesian society. In addition to theological factors, both groups perceived to have an agenda to establish a state in Indonesia. This study also explores methods of how both groups realize his ideals. Hizb ut-Tahrir has idealism to replace the nation-state system and establish a caliphate and by means of non-violence. While the Shia Imami has idealistic state model Wilayatul faqih, but in the context of Indonesia, the Shia Imami has no agenda to establish a model of the country. There are fundamental differences between these two groups on the state model. Therefore there are different steps to realize these ideals. Abstract

The arguments on terrorism has been debated since long time, and yet ther has been no collective agreement of how to define terrorism. As a major Moslem country, Indonesia also has this problem, diversity of definitions. Here, terrorism is crossing path with religious and nationalism discourses. This writing is aimed to mapping the various definition of terrorism in both academia and government. This paper consist of three parts. First, explanation on how state‟s perspective on terrorism is always fluidly folow the political interest. Second, The academia definitions that has ontological precisition. Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan media massa khususnya televisi ikut berpengaruh terhadap jumlah iklan yang ditayangkan. Iklan mempunyai efek besar salah satunya adalah pembentukan citra serta identitas. Identitas di masa sekarang tidak lagi ditentukan oleh kelompok (peer group), tetapi ditentukan oleh media massa termasuk tayangan iklan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana politik identitas dalam iklan Axe versi Asmirandah. Metode yang digunakan adalah isi yaitu analisis tekstual. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa identitas yang digambarkan adalah gaya hidup modern yaitu gaya hidup pria modern yang senantiasa menciptakan inovasi dan trendsetter serta superioritas laki-laki terhadap perempuan.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to raise awareness of the dangers of excessive media usage on children and to improve parenting skills related to children media activities. Considering that the Information and Communication Technology has become an important part of people's lives from the various aspect. Even recently children have known and become an expert in using gadgets. In this case, the role of parents is needed to be wise in providing communication media to children. Based on preliminary observations, the use of gadgets by children was due to lack of supervision and restrictions by their parents. To overcome these problems, the solution offered is to organize a Media Literation counseling addressed to parents of Al-Hikmah Kindergarten with the theme of Literacy Media: Improving Parents Skills in parental mediation and parental co-viewing of the use of Gadgets on kindergarten students. This activity used counseling methods to increase awareness of parents' knowledge of the dangers of excessive use of digital media with methods of exposure, case study and discussion and Question and Answer. So that parents have a strong awareness and willingness to limit and accompany the use of media in children. In addition, through the training method, parents will be equipped with skills to calculate and design the number and content of media that appropriate to the age of the child by using the method of "media diary", as well as the skills of media supervision and assistance that is real and fun. The post-training survey showed that the training had increased the awareness of parents about the importance of mentoring and supervision to children in using digital media. This counseling also received a positive response from the participants and they committed to supervise and mentor their children.

Abstract

Nowadays, the phenomenon of Hijrah that occurs in digital media. This phenomenon of Hijrah is more widely covered and broadcast by artists and young people. The word “Hijrah” is more often echoed than the word repentance, especially in digital media. Therefore, the question arises of why the discourse of repentance is not used and how the position of the word repentance in digital media. This article is to study “Hijrah”, a word or language that is chosen and used and what it's content. Repentance in this writing only focuses on the scope of Indonesian Muslim circles. Method of this research using discourse media analysis with Foucault's approach. The data collection uses documentation, literature studies, and observations. The results reveal that the word repentance is still used with real understanding. Then came the word Hijrah whose meaning was almost equalized and could be confused with the meaning of the word repentance. The word Hijrah is becoming more popularly used than the word repentance. The word Hijrah appears with a load of interests and is inseparable from power. The choice of the word repentance or the word Hijrah depends on who the user is. Examples of users are from the state or government, the media, industry, the general public, and Islamic groups. Finally, the word Hijrah is more often used than the word repentance in digital media until now.
