Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus [DM] is a metabolic disorder characterised by relative or obsolete insufficiency of insulinand resultant disturbances of carbohydrate metabolism. People with poorly controlled DM are at greaterrisk for dental problems. They are more likely to affect with oral infections. High and low blood sugar mayalso be able to cause many oral manifestations and some emergency situations in dental office. This articlehighlights on oral manifestations and dental considerations while treating these DM patients.
