Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang analisis retorika terhadap pidato yang disampaikan Cinta Laura Kiehl pada Malam Peluncuran Aksi Moderasi Beragama Kementerian Agama RI, 22 September 2021. Penting untuk dianalisis karena Cinta Laura Kiehl ditunjuk Kementerian Agama RI sebagai sarana komunikasi untuk mempromosikan moderasi beragama pada kalangan generasi milenial. Untuk itu peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui paradigma interpretatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tonton, simak catat. Selanjutnya dianalisis dengan meintepretasikan konsep persuasif dan lima hukum retorika Aristoteles. Teknik analisis yang digunakan menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana, yaitu pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi. Hasil peneltian menunjukkan terdapat total 32 data temuan dengan rincian 19 data dari konsep retorika persuasive dan 15 data dari prinsip lima hukum retorika Aristoteles.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of religious moderation campaigns promoted by two popular Instagram accounts, Muhammadiyah Garis Lucu and NU Garis Lucu. These accounts creatively deliver religious messages in a humorous context that resonates with a wide audience, particularly the younger generation. Religious moderation has become an increasingly relevant issue in the face of diverse religious understandings in Indonesia, where inclusive and tolerant approaches to religious outreach are greatly needed. The method employed in this research is qualitative content analysis of the posts from both accounts, focusing on messages related to religious moderation. The study found that while both accounts use humor, they differ in their approach to conveying messages of moderation. Muhammadiyah Garis Lucu emphasizes rationality, while NU Garis Lucu focuses more on tradition. This study concludes that a humorous approach in religious outreach can be an effective means of conveying messages of moderation; however, more consistent strategies are required to ensure these messages are well-received by a diverse audience.

Abstract

The Ancak Agung tradition represents one of the enduring religious and social rituals preserved by the Madurese community as an expression of gratitude and solidarity. This study aims to understand Ancak Agung as an arena of social communication that reflects the power relations, habitus, and cultural capital of its supporting community. Employing Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of social practice, this research examines how individuals and groups interact and interpret their social positions through symbols, rituals, and participation within the tradition. The study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing participatory observation and in-depth interviews with religious leaders, committee members, and ritual participants. The findings reveal that Ancak Agung functions not only as a medium of worship and thanksgiving but also as an arena for the reproduction of cultural capital and the reinforcement of communal-religious habitus. Through symbolic practices and social communication, the values of love, mutual cooperation, and interfaith tolerance naturally flourish, affirming the tradition as an instrument of social harmony within the framework of Islam Nusantara
