Abstract

Vasculitis where underlying cause is not known is often related as Kawasaki Disease. It’s important toknow about such auto immune conditions as it directly affects the vessels of the heart and is responsible fordeath at an early age. The peculiarity of the disease is its characteristic oral manifestations which are oftenmisdiagnosed as an oral disorder. Dental examination has a vital role in improving the diagnosis of autoimmune conditions as auto immune conditions primarily manifest oral signs in their early stage. So, earlydiagnosis can drastically improve the treatment outcome of the disease and quality of life.
