Abstract

Habit is the constant and unconscious repetition of an act. Children (usually infants) frequently acquire oralhabits that can be temporary, if continued can be permanent & harmful to dental occlusion and supportingstructures. This article aims to throw lights on harmful habits, its cause, side effect and treatment available,as ignorance of these habits can cause facial abnormality; hence Dentists play an important role in theidentification and removal of habits.
