Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) 41% of pregnant women worldwide experience anemia. Overall, the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in developed countries is 49% and in developing countries it is 53%. In Indonesia, the rate of anemia in pregnant women is quite high, namely 48.9%. Anemia that is commonly experienced by pregnant women is iron deficiency anemia. Iron is needed in hemopoesis (blood formation), namely in the synthesis of hemoglobin. Iron absorption can be increased by consuming ± 25 mg of vitamin C sources in food. The aim of the research was to determine the difference in the effectiveness of papaya and red guava on hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia. The research was conducted at the Nagaswidak Community Health Center in June 2024 using a quasi-experimental two group pretest and posttest. The population in this study were all pregnant women who were in the working area of the Nagaswidak Palembang Community Health Center in May 2024 with Hb levels of 9 – 10.9 gr/dl. The sampling technique used purposive sampling totaling 30 respondents. The results of the Wilcoxon test research showed that the effect of papaya (p value 0.000) and guava (p value 0.000) was obtained. The results of the Mann Whitney union obtained a p value of 0.116. There is an effect of papaya on hemoglobin levels in pregnant women, there is an effect of guava on hemoglobin levels. There is no difference in the effect of papaya and guava on hemoglobin levels in pregnant women at the Nagaswidak Community Health Center. It is hoped that health workers will increase education regarding the prevention of anemia in pregnant women, one of which is by consuming vitamin C in fruit.

The risk of hypertension increases in postmenopausal women due to a decrease in the hormone estrogen. One non-pharmacological effort to lower blood pressure is consuming garlic. The aim of the activity is to increase menopausal women's knowledge about the benefits of garlic in lowering blood pressure. Extension method with Question and Answer Lectures and Educational Videos. There were 18 counseling participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge as measured by pre- and post-extension questionnaires. Abstract

One of the obstacles in the breastfeeding process is low milk production. This can be influenced by the mother's psychological condition. The happiness, comfort and calm of breastfeeding mothers has a positive impact on the breastfeeding process. This positive psychological condition can be obtained with hypnobreastfeeding, which is a relaxation technique to help smooth the breastfeeding process. Deep and regular relaxation makes the endocrine system, blood flow and other systems in the body function better, causing the endorphin hormones produced by the mother to flow to the breast. the baby through breast milk and also makes the baby feel comfortable and calm. This educational activity about hypnobreastfeeding was carried out at PMB Soraya Palembang 4 times, targeting post partum mothers and mothers who exclusively breastfeed their babies. The activity is planned to begin with education about hypnobreastfeeding and the factors that influence breast milk production and the factors that cause little breast milk. Next, distribute a pretest questionnaire containing the mother's attitude towards the ongoing breastfeeding process. Next is direct practice of hypnobreastfeeding and continued with evaluation using a posttest questionnaire with questions about the mother's attitude towards the breastfeeding process. Mothers' knowledge about hypnobreastfeeding on breast milk production has increased by 70%. It is hoped that all parties will improve their skills in realizing exclusive breastfeeding, one of which is through hypnobreastfeeding.

Abstract

Breast milk contains nutritional components and antibodies that are important for the development, immunity and long-term health of babies. However, not all babies get breast milk from their mothers. This can be caused by low breast milk production and irregular breast milk release. Warm compresses are one method of stimulating breast muscles that can increase breast milk production. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental one group pretest posttest. The study population was all postpartum mothers in the PMB Lismarini area with low breast milk production problems. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. Warm compresses were carried out for 7 days with a duration of 10-15 minutes before breastfeeding. The statistical test used was Wilcoxon. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a p value of 0.003 ≤ 0.05, which means that there is an effect of warm breast compresses on the smoothness of breast milk release. It is expected that health workers will increase educational activities related to the management of irregular breast milk release, one of which is the warm compress method.

Abstract

Babies get their main nutrition, namely breast milk, through the breastfeeding process. However, in some cases breast milk can be low, one of the reasons is the mother's psychological condition. Mothers who feel unhappy, not calm, not relaxed, this will affect their breast milk. Hypnobreastfeeding is a relaxation technique to help smooth the breastfeeding process, by adding positive affirmations to your mind when you relax. Deep and regular relaxation makes the endocrine system, blood flow and other systems in the body function better because the endorphins produced by the mother will flow to the baby through breast milk and also make the baby feel comfortable and calm. Research objective: to determine the effect of hypnobreastfeeding on the smooth flow of breast milk in postpartum mothers at PMB Soraya Palembang. Method: This research uses a pre-experimental research design (one-group pre-post test design). The sampling technique used was total sampling with a total of 32 people. Univariate data analysis for homogeneity and bivariate tests used the dependent t test. The results of this study showed that respondents experienced an increase in breast milk production obtained from the pretest and posttest. The results of the dependent t test obtained a Z value of -2.129 and Asymp Sig of 0.001 < 0.005. The conclusion of this research states that there is an influence of the hypnobreastfeeding technique in expressing breast milk to the mother

Abstract

Sleep disturbances are a common complaint among postpartum mothers, and this condition can affect the physical and psychological recovery process after childbirth. Untreated sleep disturbances can lead to various problems, such as fatigue, decreased quality of life, and even the risk of mental health disorders such as postpartum depression. One non-pharmacological approach that can be used to address these sleep disturbances is lavender aromatherapy. Lavender aromatherapy is known to have a calming effect that can help improve sleep quality. This community service activity aims to increase postpartum mothers' knowledge about the use of lavender aromatherapy as a complementary therapy to address their sleep problems. The activity was conducted in June 2025 at the Lismarini Independent Midwife Practice (PMB), using methods that included education, discussion, and distribution of informative leaflets. A total of 15 postpartum mothers participated in this activity, and to measure their knowledge, pre- and post-tests were conducted before and after the education session. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge levels after participating in the education about lavender aromatherapy. Education about the use of lavender aromatherapy has been proven effective in increasing postpartum mothers' understanding of the benefits and how to use this therapy. Thus, lavender aromatherapy can be a beneficial health promotion strategy to support postpartum recovery. Through this activity, it is hoped that postpartum mothers can apply the knowledge gained to independently improve their sleep quality, thereby supporting their physical and mental health during the recovery period. This activity also contributes to efforts to improve overall public health and provides new insights for healthcare workers in educating postpartum mothers about safe and effective alternative therapies.
