Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the principles of education in the perspective of the Koran. By using the interpretation method maudhu'iy, the results of the study found four principles from the Koran for the implementation of inclusive education. The first principle is compassion as the spiritual capital of the teacher, the second is the nature of differences to get to know each other and learn from one another, third, the value of piety as an indicator of universal glory and fourth Mutual help to others in virtue and piety. From the above study, a common thread can be drawn, that the principles of inclusive education in the study of the interpretation of maudhu'iy are not only of an intellectual technical nature as in the third principle, but also include spiritual aspects that are reflected in the first and third principles, and also social aspects that are reflected in the fourth principle

Abstract

The presence of Muslim clerics (kiai) in Langitan Islamic boarding school (pesantren) Widang Tuban is very unique to be taken into account, especially from their duties and function. They have provided direction or input in curriculum preparation, created an evaluation system, formulated institutional rules and organized the life of the entire pesantren community as well as their role as community leaders. This study focuses more on the efforts of kiai in developing multicultural Islamic education for considering that this pesantren has undergone changes and renewal but is not inseparable from traditional roots which are proven to be laden with multicultural educational values. In reality, this kind of pesantren has produced many students and graduates who have inclusive, moderate and tolerant viewpoints. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection is caccried out through such methods as observation, interviewes and documents. The results of this study showed that the efforts of the kiai in developing multicultural Islamic education in Pesantren Langitan Widang Tuban are: firstly, building a multicultural Islamic education epistemology based on the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. Secondly, sharpening the values of multiculturalism in curriculum. Thirdly, fostering students' spiritual growth (spiritualization of students).

Abstract

The spiritual leadership of the kiai (cleric) can at least be characterized through three characteristics that are related to one another, namely iman, Islam and Ihsan. Different from conventional leadership, the characteristics of the kiai's spiritual leadership certainly emphasize these three dimensions as a form of fulfillment of spiritual vision dealing with self-servitude to Allah SWT. While the material and technical dimensions are more complementary. So, as far as the spiritual dimension is the main factor in an organizational or social system, the spiritual leadership of the kiai has a theological, philosophical, psychological and sociological reasons.
