Abstract

Problems faced by children related to softmotoric skills especially when coordinating small muscles to perform daily activities is when drawing using stationery correctly there is still holding a pencil, cutting also not too skilled, expressing movement in detail while the child should be standard age 5 These achievements have been good for 6 years. Responding to this problem, it was found that the Paper Quilling activity that was designed by the teacher using simple raw materials owned around the child and then carried out with the concept of creative play turned out to interest the child to better process the increased skills. The purpose of this study will describe how the results of the development of softmotoric skills skills after using Paper Quilling activities especially in students aged 5-6 years. The research design used is descriptive qualitative with assessment techniques using observation and documentation where the observation instrument was developed referring to the STPPA of softmotoric skills aspects of children aged 5-6 years. The subjects were 13 children group B TK Pertiwi 2 Sidoarjo Kabupaten Nganjuk. The results of the data after being collected are analyzed using triaculation of data and then described in a natational manner by studying so that the softmotoric skills skills can be described. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the improvement of children's skills in softmotoric skillsic aspects could be improved by using Paper Quilling activities. From the results of this study it is recommended that Paper Quilling activities can be used by other institutions to further accomodate the application according to the stages of child development because it is proven effective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Solution-Focused Brief Group Counseling in reducing academic stress among high school students. The study uses a classroom action research method combined with a quantitative experimental approach using a one-group pretest and posttest design. The target population of this study consists of 38 tenth-grade students from class 10 J at SMAN 1 Kediri. The subjects were selected through purposive sampling, with 4 students chosen based on the highest academic stress scores. The Solution-Focused Brief Group Counseling was conducted in two cycles, with each session lasting 40 minutes. The development of the academic stress scale instrument was based on Robotham’s theory of academic stress (2008). Based on the results of the pretest, treatment in cycles 1 and 2, posttest, and Wilcoxon analysis, it can be concluded that Solution-Focused Brief Group Therapy is effective in reducing academic stress.

Abstract

Emotion regulation is the ability of individuals to manage, control, and adjust their emotions in various situations. The results of direct observation in class XI-G SMAN 1 Kediri show that there are still many students who have low emotion regulation skills with an average of 51.8. This study aims to determine the improvement of emotion regulation ability of students in class XI SMAN 1 Kediri through group guidance services with emotion zone card educational game techniques. The research was carried out in two cycles with a total of three meetings, starting from the pre-cycle, followed by cycle I, and cycle II. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were eight students from class XI-G with low levels of emotion regulation. The results showed a significant increase in emotion regulation ability, with an average of 47.8 at pre-cycle, increasing to 53.1 in cycle I, and reaching 58.1 in cycle II. This shows the success of group guidance services with emotion zone game techniques to improve students' emotion regulation skills.

Abstract

The learning activities carried out by students at school are intended to bring about positive change. However, in practice, these learning activities encounter several obstacles, one of which is the delay in engaging in learning activities. In service delivery activities, it is said to be running well as indicated by the students' active participation in completing assigned tasks. This research was conducted to reduce academic procrastination using the problem-based learning strategy. The research method used is a guidance and counseling action research with an experimental approach. The subjects of the study were 37 students from class X-F. Data collection techniques included observation and questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and comparatively. Based on the analysis results, a decrease in academic procrastination was found, with details showing 67% in the pre-cycle, 63% in cycle I, and 56% in cycle II. It was concluded that the problem-based learning strategy through classical guidance services can reduce academic procrastination

Abstract

This study aims to improve time management skills among 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Kediri through the use of game-based methods in classroom guidance services. The research employed Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) conducted in two cycles, involving 31 students from class XI-K as subjects. Data were collected using time management questionnaires and observations, and the data analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. In the first cycle, 32% of students were categorized as high, 55% as moderate, and 13% as low in time management skills. After service improvements in the second cycle, the percentage of students in the low category decreased to 0%, while the moderate category increased to 58%. These results indicate an improvement in students’ time management skills. Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that the game-based method has proven effective in creating an enjoyable guidance atmosphere and encouraging active student participation in better understanding and managing their time.

Abstract

Academic procrastination refers to the tendency to delay the completion of academic tasks, such as school assignments and other academic activities. Based on direct observation and the analysis of an academic procrastination questionnaire, this study found that six students from class X-B demonstrated a high level of academic procrastination, with an average score of 81.5. The research employed a Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) approach, aiming to reduce students’ academic procrastination through group counseling services using group discussion techniques. Data were analyzed using a descriptive comparative method. The results showed a significant reduction in academic procrastination levels among the subjects after participating in the counseling sessions. Before the intervention, the average score of the students was 81.5, which falls into the high category. After the first cycle of counseling, the average score decreased to 63.2, indicating a moderate level. Following the second cycle, the average score further dropped to 53.3, placing it in the low category. These findings suggest that group counseling services implemented through group discussion techniques are effective in reducing academic procrastination.
