Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increase student activity and learning outcomes through the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on the speed unit material for fifth grade students at SD Negeri Karangasem IV Surakarta in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is a classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. Each meeting consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, test, and documentation. The results showed: 1) The percentage of learning activity completeness in cycle I was 53.13%, increased to 81.25% (26 of 32 students) active with a high category in cycle II; 2) The percentage of complete learning outcomes of students after the implementation of the NHT learning model in the first cycle is 71.88% with an average grade of 75.35. In the second cycle, it increased to 81.25% with an average class value of 80.63. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the application of the NHT cooperative learning model could increase the activeness and learning outcomes of students in class V on the speed unit material at SDN Karangasem IV Surakarta.

Abstract

This aims of this study are to describe: (1) the form of affixation error, (2) the form of reduplication error, (3) the form of compounding error, (4) the cause of morphological error in narrative essays of fifth grade student in SD Negeri 1 Karangasem Surakarta. The research is a qualitative descriptive study with a sample of students’ narrative essays. The subject of the study is fifth grade student and the fifth grade teacher in SD Negeri 1 Karangasem. The object of this research is morphological error in students’ narrative essayas. Data collection using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The data validity test used triangulation techniques. Data analysis technique using Tarigan language error analysis. The results of this study showed that there were 147 affixation errors (82,13%), 31 of reduplication errors (17,31%), and 1 compounding error (0,56%). The cause of morphological error in student’s narrative essays include: (1) lack of writing habit according to the correct language rules, (2) students do not understand about the correct language rules, especially morphological rules, (3) lack of students' understanding of correct morphological rules, so that students are confused about applying theory when practicing writing (4) lack of caution or thoroughness when writing narrative essays.

Abstract

The study was intended to identify intrinsic elements and character education value in the collection of short stories found in the Indonesian textbook at the primary school, entitled Saya Senang Berbahasa Indonesia SD Jilid 5. To find out, the study therefore employs qualitative descriptive methods. The results of this study indicate that the book's collection of short stories had character education. A short story of Hadiah Istimewa has character value that values achievement, friendliness, and religion. A short story Mabuk karena Ngantuk has an inquisitive, environmental, and social value. Ani yang Pelupa short story has a character value: responsibility, preoccupation with reading, curiosity, friendships, social concern, hard work, and achievement. Abu Nawas Tidak Bisa Kehujanan short story has the value of character discipline, tolerance, religion, responsibility, respect his achievements, curiosity, creative, and hard work. Menebus Kesalahan short story has the character value of hard work, responsibility, and love of peace.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) in improving the effective sentence writing skills and improving the effective sentence writing skills of grade IVB students at SD Al-Islam 03 Gebang, Surakarta 2024/2025 learning year through the application of the learning model. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (PTK). The findings of this study are: Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) with 6 syntax, namely, studying photos and digging words, analysing the properties of words and forming categories, creating sentences, creating titles, classifying sentences, and writing from sentences to paragraphs are well applied in Indonesian language learning to improve the effective sentence writing skills. The effective sentence writing skills of grade IVB students of SD Al-Islam 03 Gebang, Surakarta have improved after learning with the Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) which is shown by an increase in the original average of 59 in pre-action to 70 in cycle 1 and continues to increase to 86 in cycle 2 and an increase in classical completeness from 22% to 43% in cycle 1 and 87% in cycle 2

Abstract

The objective of this study is to ascertain the correlation between a person’s reading interest and their capacity to tackle mathematical story problems.. This research is descriptive quantitative research with a correlational approach. The research population was all fifth grade students of SDN in Terbanggi Besar District. Cluster random sampling was used to select the 125 participant for this study. The data collection technique uses a reading interest questionnaire. According to the findings of this study, a strong and favorable correlation exists between an interest in rrading and the capacity to answer mathematical word problems. The results are shown from the results of simple correlation calculations with a Pearson Correlation value of 0.858 with the information that there is a very strong relationship between variables.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan gaya belajar dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis; (2) mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara kebiasaan membaca dan keterampilan berpikir kritis; (3) mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara gaya belajar dan kebiasaan membaca bersama dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi yang dipilih adalah seluruh siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kabupaten Kutowinangun Kebumen tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Sampel yang digunakan adalah Cluster Random Sampling. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sejumlah 60 siswa dari 3 sekolah dasar. SD yang digunakan adalah SD Negeri Kaliputih, SD Negeri Babadsari, dan SD Negeri Ungaran. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian atau essay variabel kemampuan berpikir kritis dan angket gaya belajar dan kebiasaan membaca. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat hubungan antara gaya belajar dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Koefisien korelasi (ry1) adalah 0,49. (2) terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan membaca dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis diperoleh koefisien korelasi (ry2) sebesar 0,61. (3) terdapat hubungan gaya belajar dan kebiasaan membaca secara bersama-sama dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk mendapatkan koefisien korelasi berganda yaitu (ry1.2) sebesar 0,66.

Abstract

The aims of this study are: (1) to analyze the implementation of Islamic-based school culture in building the disciplinary character of students at SDIT Al-Hadi; (2) analyzing the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the implementation of Islamic-based school culture in building the disciplinary character of students at SDIT Al-Hadi; (3) analyzing the efforts made to overcome the inhibiting factors of implementing Islamic-based school culture in building the disciplinary character of students at SDIT Al-Hadi. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. The subject in this study were the principal, teachers and students of SDIT Al-Hadi. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity testing technique uses source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive model data analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The implementation of Islamic-based school culture in building disciplinary character at SDIT Al-Hadi has been carried out very well at a scale of 90%; (2) Factors supporting, namely: the involvement of school members and supporting infrastructure. The inhibiting factors are: students easily forget and lack of student awareness; (3) Efforts made to overcome the inhibiting factors are: raising student awareness and establishing cooperation with parents.

Abstract

The research purpose was determined the correlation of reading interest and critical thinking ability in social studies learning at elementary school. This research type is a quantitative approach with correlational research design. The research sample was fifth grade students at SDN Laban 01, SDN Wirun 04, SDN Laban 02, and SDN Plumbon 02, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency. The sampling technique applies the probability sampling technique of cluster random sampling type. Data collection techniques for reading interest and critical thinking ability are in the form of tests and questionnaires. Analysis prerequisite test using normality and linearity tests. Hypothesis testing using simple correlation analysis by applying Pearson Product Moment correlation and multiple correlation analysis with the help of the SPSS 21 program. The results showed that reading interest affect critical thinking ability in fifth grade students of SD in Mojolaban District.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan ketuntasan unsur intrinsik, (2) mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab ketidaklengkapan unsur intrinsik karangan narasi siswa pada karangan narasi siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Karangasem 1. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menganalisis dokumen dan wawancara terhadap 25 siswa kelas IV SD. Hasil penelitian dari dokumen karangan narasi siswa berupa unsur intrinsik meliputi tema, tokoh, penokohan, alur, latar, sudut pandang dan pesan. latar suasana 23 siswa, sudut pandang orang pertama 22 siswa, sudut pandang orang ketiga 2 siswa, sudut pandang orang pertama dan ketiga 1 siswa, pesan tersirat 4 siswa dan pesan eksplisit 2 siswa.Terdapat 25 siswa menggunakan tema, 25 tokoh utama dan 24 tokoh pendukung, 23 siswa menggunakan penokohan, 23 siswa alur maju dan 2 siswa alur mundur, 21 siswa latar waktu, 25 siswa latar tempat, Faktor penyebab ketidaklengkapan unsur intrinsik adalah rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap unsur intrinsik karangan narasi, rendahnya motivasi siswa untuk menulis karangan narasi, dan siswa cenderung lebih suka bercerita daripada menulis.
