<![CDATA[Abstrak Siswa sering mengalami miskonsepsi pada konsep difusi jika pengertian dikaitkan dengan konsep osmosis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan profil miskonsepsi siswa SMA pada subtopik difusi berdasarkan hasil diagnosis dengan menggunakan Three-tier Test dan mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya miskonsepsi siswa pada subtopik difusi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif evaluatif yang menggunakan instrumen Three-tier Test dan wawancara. Penelitian melibatkan 75 siswa kelas XI dari dua sekolah yaitu SMAN 1 Wonoayu dan SMAN 2 Sidoarjo. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa profil miskonsepsi siswa pada subtopik difusi tergolong sedang yaitu rata-rata persentase sebesar 36,36%. Penyebab miskonsepsi berasal dari siswa, guru, sumber belajar (LKS) dan metode pembelajaran. The purpose of this research was to described the misconception profile of high school students on subtopics diffusion based on three-tier test diagnosis and to describe the factors causing students misconception on subtopics diffusion. The research was descriptive evaluative research that used three-tier test and interview instruments. This research involved 75 students grade XI of two schools in Sidoarjo there were; SMAN 1 Wonoayu and SMAN 2 Sidoarjo. The results showed that profile of students misconception on subtopics diffusion was classified as moderate with the average percentage of 36,36%.
