Abstract

The purpose of the study is to know: (1). the role of public relations in improving and strengthening the library's image. (2). The role of higher education libraries in supporting sustainable development. The research object rests on the content discussion of the role of library public relations to improve the image of the library. This research focuses on manifesting the role of libraries in supporting sustainable development. This study uses a historical approach characterized by critical research on shifting thinking. Primary information sources are used for primary data, data collection methods utilize library research. Research analysis uses qualitative descriptive analysis and content analysis to analyze the meaning of the concept of the role of librarians and libraries in substainable development and application of public relations in library organizations. Observations made aimed at supporting theoretical construction. The results of the study are; (1). The role of librarians as Public Relations in enhancing and strengthening the library's image by implementing; (a) internal communication that is moving all employees to provide the best service, work productively and efficiently, (b). External communication is carried out through making prescriptions according to the needs of journalists and providing maximum services. (2). The role of higher education libraries in supporting sutainable development is; (a). The library provides access to quality information in order to improve the quality of life and social welfare (b). Libraries provide excellent information services quickly, precisely, can and cheaply. (c). The library prepares superior, reliable and quality human resources in the mastery of information.

Abstract

The purpose of medical research is to describe the use of Instagram social media as a means of promoting libraries. Research based on careful analysis based on detailed comprehensive studies with the main discussion of content focusing on the use of Instagram social media in the promotion of library information services.The research includes in-depth analysis studies, always based and focused on major studies on various important reasons for the use of Instagram social media in library promotion activities. Analyzing requires realistic critical thinking to apply a concept, so that it is appropriate to use the historical approach, characterized by a critical realistic investigation of thought development. Primary information sources are the most important component, utilized for primary data.Data collection techniques dominate the utilization of library research, carry out activities to read literature subjected to social media discussion, Instagram, library promotion. The analysis activity is qualitative descriptive analysis, the source of analysis comes from various theoretical readings, research and not research. Research dominates the description, examination and evaluation of factual facts to reach solutions to solve problems in phenomena.Validity can be achieved need to use content analysis, useful to analyze the various meanings of important concepts. Observation of various library promotion activities in his daily life is used to construct theories, especially the meaning of social media instagram and promotion activities of library information services in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The results showed; Instagram as a library promotion media has a strategic position and role to promote library information services to the general public. Libraries can convey a variety of information in the form of design, which can attract the attention of users so that the utilization of library information services can be increased and maximized.

Abstract

The research objective describes the role of higher education libraries in the development of institutional repositories. The research object is based on an analysis based on a detailed comprehensive study of the focus of content management discussion on the role of libraries in supporting the image of tertiary institutions through the development of institutional repositories to achieve the word class university. Research includes basic analysis based on and focuses on the main topic of the role of libraries in improving the image of tertiary institutions through the concept of an institution repository.Analyzing requires realistic critical thinking, applying conceptualization to the period, so that it is appropriate to do a historical approach, characterized by a realistic critical study of the development of a thought. Primary information sources are important components for primary data. Data collection utilizes library research through reading literature subjecting to the role of libraries and the development of institutional repositories. Analysis with qualitative descriptive analysis, sourced from a variety of reading material theoretical analysis, research and non-research. Research dominates describing, examining and evaluating factual facts to get solutions to problem solving contained in phenomena. In order to achieve validity, content analysis is needed, to analyze the meaning of important concepts, the role of libraries, repositories of higher education institutions. Observation of library activities, is used as an important component in supporting the construction of theory.The results of the study are the role of libraries in the development of tertiary institution repositories which are very urgent namely; (1). Attempts to manifest the publication of scientific works through a very wide network. (2). Having the same basic activities to realize the tri dharma of higher education. (3). Institutional repositories are both a challenge and an opportunity for libraries, because the competition for publication of scientific papers is very tight. (4). The webometric repository, as a webometric element, is a shared desire that Indonesia excels in the field of publication of scientific papers of international caliber. (5). Support the image of tertiary institutions in achieving university word class.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the contribution of librarians in supporting the learning process in higher education. The research aims at careful scrutiny with analysis based on detailed comprehensive studies, dominating the main content, which is based on the contribution of librarians in supporting the learning process in higher education. Research has a scope of study, fundamental analysis based on the focus of the main topic, regarding the contribution of librarians to support the learning process in tertiary institutions. Research analysis requires critical thinking, in order to apply a concept to history in the past or is happening. Therefore it is very appropriate to use historical approach research, characterized by the dominance of a critical inquiry into the development of a thought or term. Primary information sources, namely the most important element, are used as primary data. Collection of historical approach data prioritizes the empowerment of library research through a variety of reading activities on the literature, subject to the contribution of librarians, information services, learning processes in higher education. Research uses qualitative descriptive analysis, sourced from various theoretical reading material research, research and non-research. Research dominates the description, checking and evaluative of factual facts in order to produce solutions to the problems that arise in the phenomenon of the role of librarians supporting the learning process in higher education. For the sake of validity of the analysis, content analysis is needed, useful in analyzing the meaning of the most important concepts, namely the contribution of librarians to support the success of the learning process. Observation of activities in the library, empowered to construct the theory. The use of comparative analysis is useful in making comparisons before and after the development of libraries in supporting the vision and mission of higher education to reach World Class University. The results showed that librarians have a very large contribution and play an active role in supporting the learning process in higher education.

Abstract

It is an in-depth investigation of the role of higher education libraries to improve service quality to meet user satisfaction. Given the information needs of the academic community is growing according to the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, where the search for information has been all-digitizing. The research includes in-depth analysis, based on the focus of the study of the role of higher education libraries in improving the quality of information services. Analysis of the research requires realistic critical thinking, for the application of a concept that occurred in the past or the current history, so that it is appropriate to apply the historical approach, characterized by the dominance of critical inquiry into the development of a thought or term. Primary information sources are utilized for primary data. Collecting data utilizes library research, by reading a variety of literature subjecting to the role of higher education libraries, service quality, needs and user satisfaction. The analysis activity is carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner based on the analysis of various kinds of theoretical reading, research and non-research. The research dominates the description and evaluation of factual facts, for the solution of problematic handling in social phenomena, the role of libraries in improving service quality. The validity of the research is realized, by implementing content analysis analysis, it is useful to analyze the meaning of important concepts. Observation of library performance activities, empowered to support the construction of theory. The results of the study are; (1). The type of library service is partially good, having a positive impact on user satisfaction (2). Abstract

This research aims to describe the impact of developing the knowledge of the UPT Trunojoyo University Madura repository as appropriate at this time. Research aims to examine the analysis of content studies focusing on the development of institutional repositories. Libraries are required to support the achievement of Worl Class University's vision and mission, so that libraries are required to open access to all intellectual products to the public. Research includes in-depth analysis, based on a major study of various reasons for the development of institutional repositories. Research analysis requires critical thinking, for the application of concepts in historical and past history, so that it is appropriate to use a historical approach, characterized by a critical inquiry into the development of a thought or term. Primary information sources are important elements as primary data. Data collection prioritizes the use of library research through the activity of reading literature materials. Descriptive qualitative analysis, with sources of analysis of theoretical reading, research and non- research. The research prioritizes the description and evaluative factual facts to obtain solutions to various problems that arise in the phenomenon of institutional repository development. In order to validate the analysis, content analysis is needed, analyzing the meanings of important concepts of the role of libraries, open access to information, developing institutional repositories. Observation in the library, empowered to construct the theory. Comparative analysis is used to conduct various comparisons before and after the development of institutional repositories. The results of the study are; (1). the development of institutional repositories by UPT Trunojoyo University Madura must be followed; (a) information technology application, (b) good information management application, (c) professionalism and quality of librarians. (2). Institutional deposits, ie products of scientific work, research results, theses, theses, etc., must be openly accessible through institutional repositories. (3). Institutional repositories really need to be developed through software applications to be indexed by Google and webometrics, which finally Trunojoyo Madura University can achieve the vision and mission of the ward class university.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is trying to describe the strategic policy implications of the management and development of school libraries. Research has an object of analysis accuracy, using the basis of a comprehensive detailed study, focusing on important content is the study of the implications of strategic policy in the management of school libraries. The research covered the basic analysis through focusing on studies on the application of library management that produces strategic policies in the management and development of school libraries. Research analysis, requires realistic critical thinking, applies a concept to the historical period, then it is appropriate to use a historical approach. characterized by highly dominating realistic critical inquiry for the development of a thought or term. Primary information sources are utilized as primary data. Collection of historical approach data, is to empower library research by reading a variety of literature, based on library management subject matter reading, strategic policy, library management and development. Qualitative descriptive analysis based on the source of analysis comes from a variety of theoretical, research and non-research material. Research predominates the description and evaluation of factual facts, in order to obtain solutions to the problematics contained in social phenomena. The validity of the research is realized through the implementation of in-depth analysis requires content analysis, to analyze the meaning of the main concepts namely the impact of library management on library management and development. Observation is empowered for the most important component to support the construction of theory. The result of the research is that strategic policy has a constructive positive impact in achieving the goals of the school library in accordance with the vision and mission of the school institution that houses it.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to describe the role of parental companions in watching television to develop children's reading interest. The study is an object of discussion that focuses on analysis based on studies that have a comprehensive, detailed nature of important and main content, namely; the role of parental assistance in watching television for the development of children's reading interest. The study covers a basic analysis, based on the focus of the main study on the role of parents in managing the development of children's reading interest through television viewing assistance. Analysis requires critical thinking of reality, in order to carry out the application of conceptualization to historical developments in the past or is happening, using a historical approach, characterized by a realistic investigation of the development of a thought. Primary information sources function as the main elements of primary data. The historical approach data collection technique makes optimal use of the research library by reading the related literature; family function, the role of parents, interest in reading, television programs and their impact. Qualitative descriptive analysis is used based on sources of analysis based on various kinds of reading materials that are theoretical, research and not research. To achieve the validity of the study requires efforts to utilize content analysis to analyze the meaning of the various conceptualizations that are the main study. Observations were made to see the role of parents, the function of the family, used as elements of theory construction, especially the meaning of family functions, the role of parental companions, the growth of interest in reading, as well as watching television shows. The results showed that; (1). The role of parents is very important and plays a strategic position in the development of children, so as not to fall into something negative. (2). The role of parents in watching television is very urgent for parents to do, because it functions to supervise, direct and guide children to develop reading interest.

Abstract

Libraries have a very important role in supporting the learning process in higher education, because libraries are learning resource organizations by providing various information, which can be utilized by students to achieve brilliant academic achievements in higher education. The purpose of this research is to find out about the use of the library as a learning resource center for students at the Wijaya Kusuma University Library Technical Implementation Unit, Surabaya. This research is descriptive research, with research locations at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya and taking 70 students as samples. The sampling technique in this research used purposive sampling with the focus of discussion being the use of libraries as learning resource centers. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation, while data processing techniques include: (1). Data Selection (2). Data Classification. (3). Data Tabulation. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research concluded that the use of the library as a learning resource center for students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya is at a good level.

Abstract

Development technology very rapid information has change face library become center service digital information. Librarian No Again only on duty in service physical , but also required For own ability digital literacy which includes access , evaluation , creation , reflection , and participation information in a way critical and ethical research​ This done For know to what extent is the ability digital literacy of librarians at the UPT Library of Surabaya State University (UNESA), with use five element theory digital literacy from Renee Hobbs (2010), namely access, analyze, create, reflect, and act. Research This use approach qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques are carried out through interview deep against five librarians from various field services, namely collection work scientific, references and publications periodically, two of circulation, as well as automation and conservation. Data analysis was performed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model which includes stage data reduction, data presentation, and data extraction conclusion. Research results show that ability librarian in access and analyze aspects are in the category good, but the ability in the aspects of create, reflect, and act is still diverse and yet evenly. Some librarian Not yet active make digital content, not yet in a way consistent reflect mark ethical in management information, and minimal involvement in public digital spaces. It is necessary training digital literacy in general comprehensive, collaborative between divisions, as well as support policy institutional so that librarians can play a role as agent digital literacy in environment academic.
