Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika melalui penerapan model pencapaian konsep pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Barat, (2) mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran yang menerapkan model pembelajaran pencapaian konsep. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas VII-A SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Barat tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Instrumen yang digunakan tes pemahaman konsep, lembar kerja siswa (LKS), dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis secara diskriptif  terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dengan kriteria “Sangat Kurang,Kurang,Cukup,Baik, Sangat Baik”. Analisis kemampuan pemahan konsep dilakukaan pada setiap akhir siklus pembelajaran. Penelitian dihentikan ketika tingkat kemampuan pemahaman siswa secara klasikal minimal 80% berada pada katagori minimal cukup. Hasil penelitian pada siklus Isecara klasikal tingkat pemahaman konsep sebesar 75% atau 24 orang siswa. Pada siklus II secara Kalasikal tingkat pemahaman konsep sebesar 96,875% atau 30

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) The level of students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in the application of the Matlab-assisted Discovery Learning model; (2) The difficulty of students' understanding of mathematical concepts. in the application of the Matlab-assisted Discovery Learning model. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Based on the research data, it was found that: (1) The level of ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in the application of the Matlab-assisted Discovery Learning model with good abilities had the highest percentage of 57% followed by excellent abilities students with a percentage of 24%, students with moderately capable with a percentage of 14 % and students with less ability with a percentage of 5%; (2) The difficulty in understanding students' mathematical concepts in the application of the Matlab-assisted Discovery Learning model is the difficulty of facts because it does not able to interpret the results obtained, unable to change the problem in a simpler model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Untuk mengetahui Tingkat kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematika siswadi kelas VII Smp Swasta Islam Terpadu Khairul Imam Medan melalui Penerapan Teori Bruner. (2) Untuk mengetahui Kesalahan Siswa Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Pemahaman Konsep Matematika setelah penerapan teori belajar bruner. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII- Alrusyd SMP Swasta Islam Terpadu Khairul Imam Medan Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 23 orang. Yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VII- Alrusyd pada materi segiempat dan segitiga dengan menerapkan teori belajar bruner. Sebelum tindakan dilakukan terlebih dahulu diberikan tes awal, hasil tes awal kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas adalah 67.75 dengan 10 siswa (43.5 %) yang mencapai criteria ketuntasan minimal. Pada hasil tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siklus 1 menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat sebesar 4.35 menjadi 72.1 dengan peningkatan jumlah siswa yang mencapai criteria ketuntasan minimal sebanyak 2 siswa menjadi 12 siswa (52.2 %). Pada hasil tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siklus 2 menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat sebesar 12.5 menjadi 84.6 dengan peningkatan jumlah siswa yang mencapai criteria ketuntasan minimal sebanyak 8 siswa menjadi 20 siswa (86.9%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penerapan teori belajar Bruner dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VII Al-Rusyd Di Smp Swasta Islam Terpadu Khairul Imam Medan

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) students' mathematical communication skills in the application of the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model; and (2) the difficulty of mathematical communication and students' creative thinking in solving mathematical problems through the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study involved 35 students of grade VII-1 SMP Wiraswasta Batangkuis for the academic year 2020/2021. Based on the research data, it was found that: (1) The level of students' mathematical communication skills on the material of rectangles and squares in medium-ability students had the highest proportion, followed by low and high-ability students; and (2) The difficulty of students' mathematical communication skills in applying the Think Pair Share learning model is the difficulty of facts, concepts, operations, and principles

Abstract

Behind the success of successful online teaching and learning, there must be careful preparation in creating or building the system. Some complaints that are around us are that some students have difficulty in online-based mathematics learning. Some of them have difficulty signaling due to cloudy or rainy weather, not having money to buy internet quota, boredom during the teaching, and learning process, and difficulty understanding the material in online learning. Although there are examples that have been explained by the teacher, they still do not understand what their teacher teaches them. The teacher had already made learning materials using instructional video media, but it was still not enough for students to understand the polynomial material taught by the teacher, and according to the teacher the main problem was that the students' ability to memorize formulas was still lacking. The objectives of this research to see validity, effectiveness and practicality of the video development using PowerPoint and Filmora application. This research is development research that applies the Dick & Carey development model. This research focuses on developing learning videos using PowerPoint as a learning media, and Filmora as a learning video editing medium.

Abstract

Local wisdom plays a vital role in preserving cultural identity, fostering social harmony, and strengthening a community’s sense of belonging. Within the educational context, integrating local wisdom into learning activities creates meaningful connections between theoretical knowledge and the cultural realities experienced by students in their daily lives. This approach not only promotes contextual learning but also nurtures students’ appreciation of their heritage. This article explores the incorporation of Nias local wisdom into the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model as a strategy to enhance both academic achievement and character formation. The Nias community possesses rich traditions, social values, and problem-solving practices rooted in cooperation, respect, and responsibility. By embedding these elements into the PBL framework, students are encouraged to engage in authentic learning experiences that mirror real-life challenges while reflecting their cultural identity. The findings show that the integration of Nias local wisdom within PBL significantly improves students’ cognitive, affective, and social competencies. Students demonstrate increased motivation, collaboration, and critical thinking, while also developing empathy and respect for cultural diversity. Moreover, this approach enriches the learning environment by linking education to the community’s cultural context. Consequently, the application of local wisdom in education not only produces academically competent learners but also individuals who are culturally grounded and socially responsible.
