Abstract

Media literacy and information are media or tools used to facilitate literacy activities and make it easier to obtain information. In the current era, we are required to be aware of media literacy and information, along with the development of technology, the easier it is for a person to get data or information from various sources. That way the more and more hoax information we get. To avoid information hoks we must be smart in using literacy and information media, therefore in educational institutions media literacy and information have a very important role. This journal writing aims to determine the role of media literacy and information in education. currently, the existence of literacy and information media is very close to education such as libraries, mass media (internet), and others. The analysis in this journal uses four steps of literature review, namely, selecting topics to be discussed, finding and selecting material related to topics from other sources of journals and books, analyzing literature, and organizing writings. The results of this literature review indicate that literacy and information media are tools or vehicles used to facilitate literacy and find information. Media literacy and information have several types, namely, library literacy media, literary and cultural literacy media, information literacy media, and many others. Media literacy and information act as an information center, innovation center, and as a center or aids to solve a problem. Besides, media literacy and information also cover all matters relating to knowledge as well as make educational institutions aware of the media.

Abstract

Human civilization is characterized by the existence of a writing culture, since the discovery of human letters began to write starting from writing using stones, leaves, palm stems and other writing lats that existed at that time. From these writings which are then stored in the library which becomes a legacy for future generations. During the classical Islamic period, libraries experienced very rapid development, starting from the many libraries that were built magnificently and equipped with adequate facilities. During the classical Islamic era there were several types of libraries, one of which was the public library. The public library itself was built to be shown to the general public around the library. Islamic libraries are very closely related to science, so libraries have an important role in the development of science, such as; as an information center or learning center, as a research center, and as a translation center. Green Library also acts as an environmentally friendly library (cool, fresh, beautiful, beautiful) which is far from damaging the environment so that learning and working activities become more comfortable and enthusiastic.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication activities occur in various places, also in the world of libraries, how is the relationship between librarians and users and vice versa. Observations made in this paper regarding interpersonal communication activities of librarians to improve the work ethic carried out in the library environment at MTs N 2 Bandar Lampung, which include interpersonal communication activities between librarians and users, interpersonal communication between librarians and educators, interpersonal communication between librarians and educators. The head of the library with the librarian, and interpersonal communication between the librarian, the head of the library, and the principal. In addition, this study also discusses interpersonal communication in Islam. The method used in this paper is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis to see interpersonal communication activities carried out by librarians, using data collection methods by interviewing librarians in the library of MTs N 2 Bandar Lampung, observing and practicing directly by carrying out practical lectures, as well as documentation in the form of photos of research activities, besides that this writing uses the library research method & obtains data from reading books. The results of this observation and research are that interpersonal communication activities that occur in the library are intertwined both between librarians and users and between librarians with one another, as well as the consequences if there is a lack of interpersonal communication that occurs in the library on the librarian’s work ethic.Keywords: interpersonal communication, work ethic, librarianABSTRAKAktivitas komunikasi interpersonal terjadi diberbagai tempat, tidak luput juga pada dunia perpustakaan, hubungan antara pustakawan dan pemustaka maupun sebaliknya. Pengamatan yang dilakukan pada tulisan ini mengenai aktivitas komunikasi interpersonal pustakawan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan etos kerja yang dilakukan pada lingkungan perpustakaan di MTs N 2 Bandar Lampung, yang meliputi aktivitas komunikasi interpersonal antara pustakawan dengan pemustaka; komunikasi interpersonal antara pustakawan dengan tenaga pendidik; komunikasi interpersonal antara kepala perpustakaan dengan pustakawan; dan komunikasi interpersonal antara pustakawan, kepala perpustakaan, dengan kepala sekolah. Selain itu dalam penelitian ini juga dibahas mengenai komunikasi interpersonal dalam Islam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah dengan metode kaualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif untuk melihat aktifitas komunikasi interpersonal yang dilakukan pustakawan, menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dengan cara mewawancarai secara langsung pustakawan yang ada di perpustakaan MTs N 2 Bandar Lampung, mengamati dan melakukan praktek secara langsung dengan melaksanakan kuliah praktik, serta dokumentasi berupa foto kegiatan hasil penelitian, selain itu juga penulisan ini menggunakan metode library research dan memperoleh data dari buku bacaan. Hasil dari pengamatan dan penelitian ini yaitu aktivitas komunikasi interpersonal yang terjadi di perpustakaan tersebut terjalin baik antara pustakawan dengan pemustaka maupun antara pustakawan satu dengan yang lain, serta akibat jika kurangnya komunikasi interpersonal yang terjadi di perpustakaan terhadap etos kerja pustakawan.
