Abstract

This research is based on the learning done by the teacher now giving more lectures so that it seems boring for the students. This resulted in the difficulty of students achieving the expected competence due to lack of trained to develop the critical thinking power of students in solving problems. o overcome these problems, it is necessary to improve learning by doing action research class (PTK) using Herbarim media based inquiry. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research was conducted with 2 cycles, that is cycle I and cycle II. This research was conducted at MA Mambaul Ulum Dagan Paciran Lamongan Academic Year 2017/2018 with the subject of the research is the class X students of IPA with 30 students consisting of 19 male and 11 female students. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes MA Mambaul Ulum especially class X. Data collection techniques used are: observation, tests and questionnaires to determine the response of students to the media herbarium. The results obtained that the Improvement of Student Learning Results Using Inquiry-Based Herbarium Media On Plantae Material Class X can be done well, this can be seen from the results of the percentage of students' learning completeness from cycle I which reached 77% in cycle II increased to 90%. As for the students response to learning is 87% of students express agree or happy with the applied learning model. The conclusion of this research indicates that the use of Herbarium Media Based Inkuiri can improve student learning outcomes in the material Plantae class X MIPA MA Mambaul Ulum Dagan Paciran Lamongan Year Teaching 2017/2018.

Abstract

Parasitology is the study of living organisms as parasites in humans and their relationship as causes of disease, disorders and death. In the course of parasitology, students are faced with the problem of some diseases by parasites that are widely circulated in society, so students are required to have a broader knowledge of a disease caused by parasitic organisms. Thus, the ability of literacy attitude is needed. Literacy of science is an important ability to support the ability to explain and apply science in life. However, in fact the ability of science literacy has not been trained properly. For that done a research in improving the attitude of science literacy in students. This study aims to analyze the improvement of science literacy attitude aspect in biology education students through the application of problem based learning model (PBL) in the course of parasitology. This study is a quasi experiment with non-equivalent pretest research design and posttest control group desaign. The sample of this study consists of 36 students who take the course of parasitology. Technique of data collecting is done by using scale scale of science literacy attitude which arranged by likert scale. Data analysis used SPSS 22 program. The result showed that the N-gain class of experiment and control class were in medium category (0,56 and 0,44). It can be concluded that the learning model of Problem Based Learning can improve the science literacy aspect in biology education students who take the course of parasitology.

Abstract

This problem arises because of the low creative thinking in students in the course of Applied Biology food sector to produce innovative food, thereby solving the problem is to apply the learning model SFAE (Student Facilitator and Explaining) so that students are able to explore innovative ideas of stimulus explanations fellow students, because their subjects Applied Biology aims to make students able to apply the knowledge acquired during college biology. Formulation of the problem in this research is how the learning model SFAE (Student Facilitator and Explaining) can enhance students' creativity. This study aims to improve the creativity of the students so that they can provide innovative ideas and useful. This study with subjects younger students in 2012 academic year 2015/2016 odd semester to the University of PGRI Ronggolawe Tuban with the number of 30 people. The method used is descriptive explorative, which describes the state of the student after learning model application SFAE (Student Facilitator and Explaining). Instruments penggumpulan the data include observations made to determine how many students are able to produce a food product. The results were obtained from 30 students were divided into 6 groups, then obtained also 6 papers with creative ideas in terms of creating the processed food that has not been encountered in the community that is innovativeKey Word         : Creativity Thinking, Food Innovation, Applied Biology, Learning Model SFAE

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to improve student learning outcomes by using model of Problem Based Learning in the Environment. The research method is classroom action research with the stages of each cycle, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In this study using 2 cycles because it has obtained good results while the data collection techniques using non tests and tests. Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the application of PBL model (Problem Based Learning) with environmental media can improve student learning outcomes. The increase is evidenced by the learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average percentage value of 85% and increased in cycle II to 95%. Improved student learning outcomes using PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model with environmental media belonging to the category of "good".
