Abstract

One of the efforts to increase economic added value is through economic structure transformation. The impact of the transformation of the economic structure is the transformation of workforce. Economic transformation that is not accompanied by labor transformation can result in lower incomes for workers in the agricultural sector and a scarcity of labor in the non-agricultural sectors. The goal of this research is to analyze the transformation of the workforce structure in Riau Province and to build a model that can explain the transformation of the workforce structure in Riau Province during 2018-2023. Using panel regression analysis, this research found that the GRDP ratio and average years of schooling had a linear positive effect on the transformation of labor structure. Thus, it can be said that these two variables can encourage workforce transformation in Riau Province. Regarding the various results obtained, there are several policy suggestions and recommendations that can be given to related parties.

Abstract

Management is faced with the challenge of enhancing employee performance to ensure the company's survival in an unstable business environment. Telkom Witel Ridar needs to focus on improving employee performance and fostering innovation to develop and maintain superior resources. Employees are expected not only to enhance their performance but also to concentrate on optimal processes and outcomes. The higher the quality of employees, the better the task execution, leading to increased efficiency and effectiveness of the output. It is crucial for Telkom Witel Ridar's management to address these issues by providing effective training, enhancing management support, and fostering collaboration within the work environment to boost employee performance. This research aims to analyze and examine the influence of training (X1) and work environment (X2) on employee performance (Y) through motivation (Z) at PT. Telkom Witel Ridar. Enhancing employee productivity is considered to contribute to the company's growth. Data collection was conducted using a saturated sampling technique involving 55 employees, and data analysis was performed using PLS-SEM with the SmartPLS 4 application. The research findings indicate that (1) training has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance; (2) training has a positive and insignificant effect on motivation; (3) the work environment has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance; (4) the work environment has a positive and significant effect on motivation; (5) motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; (6) training has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance through motivation; and (7) the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through motivation. Based on the research results, it is recommended to provide additional training, mentoring, or other resources to help employees meet established standards, adjust training methods and content to be more relevant to employee needs, view training as a long-term investment in employee development, enhance managerial skills to optimize superior-subordinate relationships, and implement reward programs, regular positive feedback, or recognition opportunities in front of colleagues.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh inflasi, keterbukaam perdagangan, pengangguran dan korupsi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi negara BRICS. Kelompok negara BRICS telah menjadi salah satu kekuatan ekonomi utama yang memengaruhi dinamika global. BRICS menyumbang porsi signifikan terhadap populasi, PDB global, serta perdagangan dunia, sehingga keberadaannya semakin strategis dalam percaturan ekonomi internasional. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan studi dokumentasi dengan mengumpulkan data sekunder yang telah dipublikasikan oleh lembaga internasional. Data mengenai pertumbuhan ekonomi, inflasi, keterbukaan perdagangan, dan pengangguran diperoleh dari World Bank. sedangkan data korupsi bersumber dari Transparency International – CPI. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel dengan periode pengamatan tahun 2010–2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inflasi dan pengangguran berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi negara BRICS, sedangkan keterbukaan perdagangan dan korupsi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi negara BRICS. Secara simultan, seluruh variabel independen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Hasil dari uji koefisien determinasi dengan nilai adjusted R2 sebesar 0,562 menunjukkan bahwa variabel independen dapat memengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi negara BRICS sebesar 56,2%. Sedangkan 43,8% dari variasi pertumbuhan ekonomi negara BRICS dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa pengendalian inflasi dan penurunan tingkat pengangguran menjadi faktor kunci dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi negara BRICS. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kebijakan makroekonomi yang stabil serta peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia untuk mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan.
