<![CDATA[Abstract: In a corpse of COVID-19, transmission to a living person can occur through droplets that come out of the body opening, when the body is moved or when it comes in contact with the body fluids of the body. At the time of the COVID-19 outbreak, mutual vigilance is needed when finding cases of death, both from patients with positive monitoring (PDP) and positive confirmation of COVID-19 and bodies who died of unknown causes such as in sudden death or corpses. with other diseases but suspected COVID-19. This requires specific management steps to prevent the occurrence of spread. Therefore it is necessary to develop guidelines for handling the bodies of those who died, both in the community and in health service facilities. The aim of this study is to know the role department of the forensics in handling the corpse of Covid-19. The methods in this article used simple case study literature. Source articles were selected from databases: ProQuest, Google Scholar and PubMed. The role department of the forensics in handling the body of Covid-19 is in accordance with the protocol issued by WHO regarding the guidelines for handling corpse of Covid-19 so that transmission from corpse to people has not been found so far. In conclusion, the role department of the forensic in handling corpse of Covid- 19 must be supported by the community by following health protocols and for their traditions in handling corpse, they must adapt to this pandemic era.Keywords: Handling, corpse of Covid-19 Latar Belakang: Pada jenazah COVID-19, penularan ke orang hidup dapat terjadi melalui droplet yang keluar dari lubang tubuh, ketika jenazah dipindahkan atau ketika kontak dengan cairan tubuh jenazah. Pada saat terjadinya wabah COVID-19, dibutuhkan kewaspadaan bersama ketika menemukan kasus kematian, baik dari pasien dengan pemantauan (PDP) dan konfirmasi positif COVID-19 maupun jenazah yang meninggal dengan sebab yang belum diketahui seperti pada keadaan sudden death (mati mendadak) maupun jenazah dengan penyakit lain namun dicurigai COVID-19. Hal ini membutuhkan langkah-langkah tatalaksana secara spesifik untuk mencegah terjadinya penyebaran Oleh karena itu perlu disusun pedoman penanganan jenazah yang meninggal, baik di lingkungan masyarakat maupun di fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran bagian forensik dalam penanganan jenazah Covid-19. Metode penelitian ini berbentuk literatur kasus sederhana, dimana pencarian artikel dilakukan melalui 3 database, yaitu: ProQuest, Google Scholar, dan PubMed. Peran bagian forensik dalam penanganan jenazah Covid-19 sudah sesuai dengan protokol yang telah di keluarkan oleh WHO tentang pedoman penanganan jenazah Covid-19 sehingga penularan dari jenazah ke orang sampai saat ini tidak ditemukan. Sebagai simpulan, peran bagian forensik dalam penanganan jenazah Covid-19 harus didukung oleh masyarakat dengan cara mengikuti protokol kesehatan dan untuk tradisi mereka dalam penanganan jenazah harus menyesuaikan dengan era pandemi ini.Kata Kunci: Penanganan, jenazah Covid-19]]>
