Abstract

The foundation of philosophy in education is very important. The foundation of educational philosophy will direct humans or educators to think deeply or rooted about the nature of education. In addition, the existence of a nation is reflected in the educational philosophy adopted. Likewise, a good education reflects the foundation of a strong and solid educational philosophy. Education is said to be good, when it is able to produce ideal quality humans. The results of the analysis describe that the Indonesian nation has Pancasila as the country's philosophy. Pancasila should be the soul of the Indonesian nation, to be enthusiastic in working in all fields, especially education. The practice of Pancasila must be in the whole and integrity of the five precepts in the Pancasila, as formulated in the preamble to the 1945 Constitution, namely God Almighty, just and civilized humanity, Indonesian unity, democracy led by wisdom in deliberation / representation, and Social justice for all the people of Indonesia. For the education sector, this is very important because there will be certainty of values that will guide the implementation of education.

Abstract

Geguritan Batur Taskara (hereinafter abbreviated as GBT) is one of the many literary works of geguritan in Bali, which is a Balinese cultural heritage, with the values of religious education, both moral values, philosophy / tattoos, and ritual values contained in in the literary work. The purpose of this research is to analyze the philosophical teachings / tattwa in Geguritan Batur Taskara using descriptive qualitative research methods. The conclusion of the research shows that the value of philosophy (tattwa) exists and is contained in the GBT with an outline of the five main points of belief in Hinduism called Panca Sradha. The five Sradha include; believe in the existence of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa (God Almighty), believe in the existence of atma (ancestral spirits), believe in the law of karmapala, believe in samsara (Punarbawa), and believe in moksa

Abstract

Hubungan erat manusia dengan alam, bukanlah hanya sekedar hubungan biasa. Manusia adalah mikrokosmos dan alam semesta ini adalah makrokosmos. Jika makrokosmos terganggu kelestariannya maka akan berdampak signifikan bagi kelangsungan mikrokosmos pada diri manusia. Sikap setiap manusia terhadap lingkungannya tentunya menjadi bervariasi karena karakter dan kepentingan yang berbeda. Ada manusia yang merasa berkuasa penuh atas planet bumi ini sehingga ia menaklukkan lingkungan dengan membabat hutan, menambang mineral-mineral kekayaan bumi, menebang pohon di hutan, mengarungi lautan dan memanfaatkan energi sumber daya alam yang ada untuk kehidupan. Kesadaran ekologis perlu ditanamkan sejak dini. Anak-anak harus tahu  apa yang akan diperbuat mereka terhadap sekelilingnya. Pendidikan karakter ekologis sejatinya menjadikan siswa/ generasi muda Hindu yang cerdas dan bermartabat. Cerdas karena senantiasa diajarkan tentang lingkungan dan upaya melestarikannya. Bermartabat, karena manusia yang berkarakter ekologis berpandangan jauh kedepan, kearah nasib generasi setelahnya, yang juga berhak mendapat warisan alam yang baik, yang dapat membuat mereka hidup wajar, seperti generasi sebelumnya. Generasi muda yang berkarakter ekologis akan senantiasa memperjuangkan nasib sesamanya, manusia yang ada di sekelilingnya. Selain dipahami oleh siswa, Tri Hita Karana sebagai landasan filosofis dibalik pendidikan karakter ekologis harus pula dipahami dan dipraktekkan secara terintegrasi oleh orang tua dan  para guru  dengan mengembangkan suasana positif di sekolah dan di rumah, serta memberikan motivasi kepada anak-anaknya untuk mencintai lingkungan.
