Abstract

This study aims to obtain information and describe the planning, implementation and evaluation of Islamic religious education assisted by Google classroom media at Singaperbangsa Karawang University. The research was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method involving 87 students from 3 classes in the Computer Science Architecture Informatics Engineering Study Program. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, documentation, and observations. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive techniques and triangulation. The results showed that the use of the Google Classroom in Islamic Education learning was gradually able to improve the quality of learning. This is supported by good planning, competent teaching skills, systematic learning implementation, and measurable evaluation. The learning process is democratic, humanist and technological. Students are given initiative, innovation, freedom of creation so as to foster motivation, awareness, independence, and togetherness in learning. On the other hand, encouraging learning objectives by applying strict tuition contracts and strict sanctions for students who ignore the agreed upon learning. Online learning using Google classroom is able to improve the quality of teaching lecturers, interaction or student activity in learning, discipline, for timely assignments, the quantity of responsible students, student attendance in meetings through Google Meet, student interaction in learning and improving student learning outcomes. Despite the findings regarding positive benefits, the research revealed a serious social media complaint for some students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari masalah semakin maraknya penyimpangan perilaku dan menurunnya kualitas aplikasi nilai-nilai karakter bangsa di tengah-tengah masyarakat masyarakat, terutama pada kalangan pelajar. Muncul desakan pentingnya pendidikan yang dapat mengatasi problematika karakter yang menimpa para pelajar yang notabene menjalani proses pendidikan dan pembentukan karakter. Pondok pesantren pun menjadi lembaga pendidikan yang dipromosikan mampu menjawab tantangan tersebut. Pesantren yang semula diangap lembaga pendidikan termarginalkan, kini justru menjadi lembaga pendidikan yang mampu membawa angin segar dalam pembentukan sikap mental peserta didik agar memiliki akhlak yang baik dan menjadi generasi penerus bangsa yang gemilang dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai ilahiyah dan insaniyah. Namun, Masalah baru juga muncul ketika proses pembelajaran tatap muka dialihkan ke pembelajaran online. Ini tentunya berdampak besar terhadap terselenggaranya pendidikan karakter berbasis pesantren yang pada dasarnya membutuhkan kontak tatap muka antara guru dan siswa. Penelitian menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah pembelajaran akidah ahlak di kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Fathanul Burhan Karawang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan selanjutnya penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data bahwa pendidikan karakter berbasis pesantren dalam pembelajaran akidah akhlak secara online mampu menumbuhkan beberapa nilai karakter, diantaranya nilai agama, kedisiplinan nilai, nilai kemandirian, nilai tanggung jawab, cinta lingkungan dan kepedulian sosial.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic condition requires teachers to use technology in online learning. This study analyses the planning, implementation and evaluation of Islamic religious education assisted by Google class media. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method involving 87 students. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, documentation, and observations. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive techniques and triangulation. The results showed that the use of Google Classroom in learning Islamic Religious Education gradually improved the quality of learning. It is supported by good planning, competent teaching skills, systematic learning implementation, and measurable evaluation. The learning process is democratic, humanist and technological. Students are given initiative, innovation, and creative freedom to foster motivation, awareness, independence, and togetherness in learning. On the other hand, they were encouraging learning objectives by implementing strict lecture contracts and sanctions for students who ignore agreed learning. Online learning using Google classroom can improve the quality of teaching lecturers, interaction or student activities in learning, discipline, timeliness of assignments, several responsible students, student attendance in meetings through Google Meet, student interaction in learning, and student learning outcomes.
