Abstract

This study aims to describe in depth the consumptive behavior of students receiving the Bidikmisi IAIN Surakarta scholarship class 2017 in terms of the use of scholarship funds which are limited by 3 aspects, namely: 1) the aspect of food, 2) the aspect of fashion, and 3) the aspect of leisure time. This study uses a qualitative approach, the data in this study are primary data which collection and analysis using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The informants in this study consisted of 6 student recipients of the 2017 IAIN Surakarta bidikmisi scholarship. This study uses the concept of consumptive behavior, which is often seen as the identity card of a social stratum or community level group. Most of the research findings indicated that Bidikmisi students could not manage funds well, so we tried to do research at IAIN Surakarta. The consumptive behavior of Bidikmisi scholarship recipient students can be seen from the items used in everyday life which are usually simple, how to use free time to the food eaten every day. This is related to the description of the activities of Bidikmisi scholarship recipients in allocating scholarship funds to meet their learning facilities and needs.Keywords:Bidikmisi Scholarship; Consumptive Behavior; The Aspect of Fashion; The Aspect of Food; The Aspect of Leisure
