Abstract

Pesantren didirikan seiring dengan masuknya Islam ke Indonesia. Kehadiran pondok pesantren di masyarakat tidak hanya sebagai lembaga pendidikan, tetapi juga sebagai lembaga penyiaran agama dan sosial keagamaan. Pesantren berhasil menjadikan dirinya sebagai pusat gerakan pengembangan Islam. Selama kolonial, pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang paling banyak berhubungan dengan rakyat, dan tidak berlebihan kiranya untuk menyatakan pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan grass root people yang sangat menyatu dengan kehidupan mereka. Pada zaman kolonial, pesantren lepas dari perencanaan pendidikan pemerintah kolonial belanda. Pemerintah Belanda berpendapat bahwa sistem pendidikan Islam sangat jelek baik ditinjau dari segi tujuan, maupun metode dan bahasa (bahasa Arab) yang dipergunakan untuk mengajar, sehingga sulit untuk dimasukkan dalam perencanaan pendidikan umum pemerintahan kolonial. Tujuan pendidikannya dinilai tidak menyentuh kehidupan duniawi, metode yang dipergunakan tidak jelas kedudukannya. Secara rentetan dan urutan sejarahnya jelas bahwa Islam sudah ada di bumi nusantara sebelum kolonial Belanda menginjakkan kakinya di Indonesia lewat perdagangan. Abstract Islamic boarding schools were established along with the entry of Islam into Indonesia. The presence of Islamic boarding schools in the community is not only as an educational institution, but also as a religious and social broadcasting institution. The pesantren has succeeded in making itself the center of the Islamic development movement. During the colonial era, pesantren were the educational institutions that had the most contacts with the people, and it was no exaggeration to declare the pesantren as an educational institution for grassroots people who were deeply integrated into their lives. In the colonial era, pesantren separated from the Dutch colonial education planning. The Dutch government believes that the Islamic education system is very bad both in terms of objectives, as well as the methods and language (Arabic) used for teaching, so it is difficult to be included in the general education planning of the colonial government. The purpose of education is considered not to touch worldly life, the method used is not clear its position. In a series and historical sequence, it is clear that Islam had existed on the archipelago before the Dutch colonialists set foot in Indonesia through trade. Abstract

Evaluation of learning is a must done by the teacher or educator. This is done as a result of the learning process for 1semester, which is accumulated starting from daily tests, uts and uas. In this case also the educator needs to know aboutthe function, purpose and benefits of the assessment. So it is not selective in giving assessments to students, andstudents are not disadvantaged in providing such assessments. Problem formulation 1) What is meant by evaluation oflearning in the context of functions, objectives and benefits? 2) How are the learning evaluation techniques carried outby educators to their students? With the aim of describing evaluation of learning in the context of functions, objectivesand benefits. and analyze learning evaluation techniques carried out by educators to their students.
