Abstract

Metacognitive skill is essential to have by every individual, including the prospective teachers' students. Some teachers who have not trained in metacognitive ability would be caused by the lack of understanding of the stages in carrying out metacognitive ability. It has not realised that metacognitive ability can affect students' learning process and learning outcome. The students who have the excellent metacognitive ability can develop metacognitive domain-oriented learning. This study aims to know the metacognitive skills of prospective primary school teachers in Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. This research used a quantitative approach to descriptive type and survey method. The samples are 100 students of elementary school educations of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan consisted of the semester II, IV, and VI. The instrument used Metacognitive Ability Inventory (MAI) with the Likert scale(1-5). Data were analysed using descriptive statistics to determine the Mean, standard deviation, percentage, and metacognitive categorisation of elementary school education students. The research result showed a low-medium range category. It influenced by some factors related to the inadequate metacognitive development of prospective primary school teachers. Judging from the cognitive knowledge aspect, the high category of the percentage calculation of cognitive knowledge aspects is in the declarative knowledge aspect. In the cognitive regulation aspect, planning becomes the highest percentage of cognitive regulation aspect.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of new technology for educators makes it difficult for educators to update existing learning, knowledge skills, and various knowledge. However, the application of technology to the attitude of educators in adopting new technology is joined with the covid-19 pandemic, which requires educators to prepare technology. Technology readiness (TR) becomes a model in preparing technology that characterizes individuals using and adopting new technologies to achieve the desired goals. Perceived usefulness is an essential indicator of the attitude we take in the use of specific technologies. The purpose of this study was to analyze the TR of perceived usefulness in learning in the Covid-19 era. This research focuses on providing a general understanding and awareness of the importance of TR in everyday life. This type of research is quantitative, using univariate analysis and simple linear regression. This research design includes correlational research. The number of samples was 215 students were involved. The data collection tool uses an online questionnaire. The result is that school teacher education students in Yogyakarta have high TR abilities and positively affect perceived usefulness. This research implies that educators or stakeholders realize the importance of TR and technology services by encouraging positive attitudes towards technology to reduce reluctance to use technology.

Abstract

Digital transformation in mathematics education has gained tremendous momentum, mainly driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and the emergence of Society 5.0. While digital devices open up exciting possibilities through interactive visualizations and adaptive learning platforms, educators still face significant hurdles in their implementation, from teacher preparation to infrastructure readiness. The purpose of this research is to analyze effective mathematics teaching and learning in the digital era. This research method uses systematic literature review (SLR) by analyzing 16 carefully selected articles from Scopus indexed journals published between 2019 and 2024. Through a comprehensive examination using the PRISMA protocol supplemented with bibliometric analysis, we investigated current trends, effectiveness patterns, and implementation challenges. Our findings shed light on three key insights: mathematics education is naturally evolving beyond simple digitization towards more sophisticated adaptive learning approaches that embrace computational thinking; the success of digital devices is closely linked to thoughtful implementation strategies that respect cultural contexts; and meaningful integration requires careful attention to challenges such as technostress while maintaining pedagogical excellence.
