Abstract

Adapting to the “New Normal” is the prime issue that educational institutions are facing nowadays, thus, adjustments in teaching and learning has to be done to reach all students despite the limitations in the face to face interaction. This paper has been initiated to share the voices of the teachers and students’ circumstances and struggles in the transition due to COVID-19 pandemic. Through this paper, the perception on the psychological, and pedagogical concerns shall be given overview and the interface of English Language Teaching and Remote Educational Technology shall be given light to provide beneficial concept for both teachers and students This shall pave way for the continuous support and development in educational institutions and fronliners

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media sosial “Whatsapp” sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap hasil pembelajaran siswa. Variabel dalam penelitian ini ada dua yaitu Whatsapp sebagai media pembelajaran sebagai variabel bebas (X1) sedangkan prestasi belajar siswa sebagai variabel terikat (Y1), populasi sebanyak 40 siswa dan sampel ini menggunakan cluster kelas yaitu delapan belas siswa kelas B pada Siswa Pendidikan Agama Islam. Semester II Negeri Islam (STAIN) Mandailing Natal 2019/2020 Tahun. Untuk mengumpulkan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan membagikan formulir google di grup Whatsapp. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS 16. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai F sebesar 0,106 dan signifikan 0,749> 0,05. Artinya variabel independen berpengaruh baik terhadap variabel dependen. Abstract This study aims to know the effect of social media “Whatsapp” as learning media on students’ learning achievement. There are two variables in this study namely Whatsapp as learning media as independent variable (X1) while students’ learning achievement as dependent variable (Y1), Forty students as population and this sample uses cluster class namely eighteen students class B at Students of Islamic Education, the second semester, State of Islamic (STAIN) Mandailing Natal 2019/2020 Years. To collect data uses questioner by sharing google form in Whatsapp group. This data analysis uses SPSS 16. The result of this study shown that the F value is 0.106 and significant 0.749 > 0,05. This means that independent variable have good effect toward dependent variable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether implementing problem based learning as a learning method could improve the English writing abilities of students at the Islamic Education program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Lampung. This is an action study with three stages. The sample group consisted of 21 students, and the information was gathered using cluster sampling, test, and an average score. The discoveries of the research demonstrate that problem based learning improves students' English writing abilities, This indicates problem-based learning is beneficial.
