Abstract

BPS knows the population and the rate of population growth, namely using a population census that is carried out once every 10 years, because this timeframe is the right time to see the birth rate and death rate for an area. So it takes a long time to know the amount of population growth and population growth rate. Based on BPS data for Banyumas Regency for 2021, the population is 1,789,630 people, the population growth rate is 95%. And in 2022 the population will be 1,806,013 people, the population growth rate is 93%. So for 1 year from 2021 to 2022 there will be an increase of 16,383 people, based on data from BPS the number of Banyumas districts has increased. The Leslie Matrix is ??one of the mathematical tools used to model the growth and changes in populations of living things, so that it can assist BPS in predicting population numbers and population growth rates at a time. From Leslie's matrix calculations, the prediction for the female population in Banyumas Regency in 2027 is 985,304 people. And the result of calculating the dominant eigenvalue is ?=1.23 which shows that population growth is increasing.

Abstract

PT. Panganmas Inti Persada is a company that processes wheat grains into wheat flour. In the packaging section of this company, there is a problem, namely the lack of workers, so the purpose of this study is to determine the most optimal number of workers. This study uses the Work Sampling method by observing operator activities and calculating productive time. The results obtained in this study are the average productive time of all operators is 91.50% and idle time is 8.50%. The standard time to complete the product filling is 0.153 minutes and sewing is 0.152 minutes. While the number of workers needed for product filling is 1.26 people and sewing is 1.25 people. So the number of workers needed to complete the packaging work is 2.51 people or 3 people.

Abstract

The cement industry faces significant challenges in maintaining operational continuity due to auxiliary equipment failures that impact overall productivity. Weight feeder 532-WF1 at Finish Mill 2 PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk Tuban experienced 9 unplanned shutdown incidents during June-October 2024 with a total duration of 31.57 hours, resulting in production losses of 8,208 tons of cement. This research aims to identify dominant failure modes and analyze root causes through integrated implementation of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methodologies. FMEA implementation identified 15 potential failure modes with highest Risk Priority Numbers (RPN) for belt drifting (504), alarm failure (448), and belt damage/rupture (360). FTA analysis revealed 14 basic events as root problems, where mechanical misalignment became the dominant contributor. Implemented improvement strategies included standardization of alignment procedures, component material upgrading, and real-time temperature monitoring implementation. Effectiveness evaluation demonstrated zero breakdown achievement during April-May 2025 period, validating the success of risk analysis-based preventive maintenance approach in enhancing weight feeder system reliability.
