Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a condition where the immune system attacks itself, causing inflammation and causing pain. One of the pain relievers for rheumatoid arthritis is a warm compress from Citrus aurantifolia which allows the absorption of the substances naringenin and hesperidine to suppress the production of prostaglandines which trigger pain. This study aims to determine the effect of double action Citrus aurantifolia warm compresses on Rheumatoid Arthritis pain with a pre-experimental design. The number of elderly in this study was 10 elderly with purposive sampling. The research results were obtained before the pretest on day 1 of the elderly who experienced controlled severe pain, 20%, and after the posttest on day V, not a single elderly person experienced controlled severe pain. The results of the Marginal Homogeneity statistical test for the pain intensity variable and the Citrus aurantifolia warm compress variable showed that there was a significant difference in the pain scale between before and after the Citrus aurantifolia warm compress (p –value= 0.012 with α <0.05).Keywords: Rheumatoid Arthritis, warm compress Citrus aurantifolia, pain, Elderly, analytical observation

Abstract

Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat merupakan pilar penting dalam menjaga Kesehatan tubuh secara menyeluruh, dan salah satu praktik fundamental dalam kebersihan pribadi adalah menggosok gigi. Menggosok gigi secara rutin, minimal dua kali sehari, berperan krusial dalam pencegahan berbagai masalah Kesehatan mulut, seperti karies gigi, penyakit gusi dan nafsu makan yang tidak nyaman, Teknik menggosok gigi yang tepat, meliputi penggunaan pasta gigi berfluoride dan sikat gigi yang sesuai, serta durasi minimal dua menit per sesi, membantu menghilangkan plak dan sisa makanan yang menyebabkan bakteri berkembang biak. Selain itu, penggosokan gigi yang konsisten membantu mencegah terbentuknya tartar yang dapat mengakibatkan infeksi gusi dan kerusakan gigi lebih lanjut. Dengan demikian, praktik menggosok gigi yang efektif adalah komponen penting dari perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat yang mendukung Kesehatan mulut dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimated are 463 million adults, 20–79 years, living with diabetes mellitus in 2019 which accounts for 9.3%. Diabetes Mellitus is chronic metabolic disease, characterized by high levels of glucose in the blood. The general objectives this study were describe nursing care for people with Diabetes Mellitus with the problem of unstable blood sugar levels related to the inability of families to care for elderly, and provide Cinnamon Powder Brewed Drinks to decrease blood sugar levels. The method used is case study, namely by collecting data using the format of nursing care. The results from nursing actions carried out for seven days with infusion of cinnamon powder consumed 2 times a day found that patients and families were able to recognize health problems, were able to decide on appropriate actions to treat family members, and to use health facilities. The results of nursing care at Mr. B, there is no dizziness, the vision is no longer blurred. Based on the results of the nursing care carried out, it is hoped that it can be used as learning material and reference material in providing nursing care for Diabetes Mellitus patients.

Abstract

Low birth weight infants (LBW) are infants who weigh less than 2500 grams at birth regardless of the gestation period and can occur in full-term or premature infants. LBW is one of the most common causes of infant mortality in Batam City in 2022. This study aims to determine the relationship of integrated antenatal care examination to the incidence of LBW at Harapan Bunda Hospital Batam in 2023. This type of research uses a retrospective study with secondary data in the form of medical records of laboring mothers in January-October 2023 taken at Harapan Bunda Hospital. The population used in this study were mothers who gave birth to LBW babies. Sampling with total sampling and the number of research samples obtained was 96 samples. Data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis. Bivariate analysis used the Chi-Square statistical test. The results showed that 38 mothers had complete antenatal care who experienced LBW and 58 mothers who had incomplete antenatal care who experienced LBW. There is a relationship between antenatal care and the incidence of low birth weight at Harapan Bunda Hospital Batam in 2023 with a p-value of 0.027. It is expected that health workers and midwives can socialize with the community, especially pregnant women, about the importance of conducting antenatal care visits at least 6 times during pregnancy.
