Abstract

This study attempts to investigate the readability level of the text used in the Junior High School. Taking the material from those read in the two prominent schools; public and private school. Being measured by the given formula and then followed by the given test to students, this study reveals that the readability level of four reading texts as the source of the data in this study indicates various level. It is only one out of four texts that was appropriate for 9th grade students. This affects the students’ purpose of reading competencies of the students in private Junior school who have tendency toward unassisted reading than the students in the public school. It implies the number of students who need the instruction or need assisted in reading. The students within this school demand more instruction than those in private school. The similar condition shown in the students who categorized in the frustration level. As the consequences, this circumstance requires teacher’s serious intervention among others by cautiously doing text selection and adjusting teaching strategy to students’ reading level competency.

Abstract

In the reviewed studies non verbal communication used by teachers in teaching English The purpose of this research is to study the type of Non verbal communication by English teachers in teaching and to finding out how English teachers use non verbal communication in teaching class much further whether to seek out the strength and weaknesses of the non verbal communication and to find out the effective way to use non verbal communication efficiently and effectively This research used a Quantitative approach which the efforts are to collect all of the studies that shared the common field of the study The result of this study showed that the benefits the advantages the disadvantages and its effects Moreover the non verbal communication give some contributions in education which can be applied by teacher today Recommendation and suggestion are offered in the current study Hence non verbal communication is recommended to be used by teacher in this classroom < p>

Abstract

Many people think learning a language is easy because they assume we are using the language every day Learning a language is not just being able to communicate with the language but also know and understand the meaning contained in the word or phrase that pronounced In study languages especially English most of the students experiencing difficulty in speaking or talking Difficulty talk is usually caused by the difficult to express ideas orally limited vocabulary limited knowledge of grammar so it is difficult to talk with the correct rules limited ability to properly pronounce vocabulary pronounciation so it is difficult to pronounce a word with true the lack of courage to speak out because of fear of being wrong To facilitate the ability to speak speaking there are some pretty effective way to try among them: expand the vocabulary read aloud get to know the simple English read English conversation English listening to English songs watching English movies love the subjects English In this paper also discussed methods teaching role play and media pictorial story to improve the ability of English speaking students < p>
