Abstract

This study aims to (1) examine the learning outcomes of students' reading comprehension in class III SD Inpres Parang Makassar using power point media; (2) assessing the learning outcomes of students' reading comprehension in grade III SD Inpres Parang Makassar without using power point media; (3) examining the effectiveness of power point media to improve learning outcomes for reading comprehension of third grade students of SD Inpres Parang Makassar. This study used an experimental research design with a posttest only control design. The population of this research is the third grade students of SD Inpres Parang Makassar. The data that had been collected were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and parametric inferential statistics type T Test that were processed using the SPSS version 20 windows computer program. The results of hypothesis testing show that (1) the value of t-count shows the number -9.708 with sig. (2 tailed) = 0.000. At the 95% significance level with 46 degrees of freedom. Because the significance value or p-value <0.005, then the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected or in other words the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class in the learning outcomes of students in class IIIB SD Inpres Parang Makassar. The use of power point media to improve students' reading comprehension learning outcomes of SD Inpres Parang Makassar is more effective using power point media. This can be seen from the t-test calculation of -9.708 with db = 46 at the 5% significance level. These results indicate that the price p = 0.000. The p value is less than 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the results of learning Indonesian using the role playing method for fourth grade students at SDN 12 Sindue, Donggala Regency. In the Indonesian subject, grade IV students have not been able to achieve the KKM that has been determined by the teacher. This type of research is classroom action research in collaboration with class IV teachers at SDN 12 Sindue. The subjects in this study were teachers and fourth grade students at SDN 12 Sindue, totaling 23 students. The data collection technique in this study was through evaluation tests and observations during the learning process. Data analysis in this study used descriptive qualitative and quantitative observation sheets to describe the results of the scores obtained by students. The results of the study show that learning Indonesian by applying role playing learning can improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 12 Sindue, Donggala Regency. An increase in student learning outcomes occurred after carrying out the role playing method, namely students playing roles with their group mates on message material over the phone to understand Indonesian language lessons. Indonesian language learning outcomes increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2. The percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 69.57% to 82.61%. Students who don't participate in groups are approached by the teacher and directed to ask their friends so that all students can understand the material and can play their roles well. It can be concluded that the use of the role playing method can improve the learning outcomes of Indonesian in grade IV elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the UIN Datokarama Palu digital library in enhancing students' reading interest, its impact on reading habits, and its contribution to the transformation of libraries based on social inclusion. Its novelty lies in the synergistic exploration between digital technology and the library’s social services. This research employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative data with quantitative data as support. The respondents include library managers, students, and the general public. The findings indicate several accessibility barriers in the digital library, such as application compatibility limitations, features that are still restricted to e-books, lack of support for disabled users, and a limited book collection. Quantitatively, no significant influence was found between digital library usage and students' reading interest. However, the library plays a role in social inclusion-based transformation through training and skill development programs, which support student empowerment. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more inclusive and efficient digital library services, as well as to enhance students' reading interest and digital literacy.

Abstract

This research discusses the Efforts of UPT UIN Datokarama Palu Library in Increasing Student Interest in Reading. This is a field study of the problems raised in this study on how the Efforts of the UPT UIN Datokarama Palu Library in Increasing Student Interest in Reading. Therefore, the research aims to find out the Efforts of the UPT UIN Datokarama Palu Library in Increasing Student Interest in Reading. This method uses a qualitative approach, and data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study show that the efforts of the UPT UIN Datokarama Palu Library in Increasing Student Interest in Reading are to carry out various services and activities, namely on-site reading services, online collection services, literacy development workshops, article writing competitions, and reading corners in the UIN Datokarama Palu campus environment. UPT Library strives to always provide facilities, and reading materials, and serve students and the campus community well, the obstacles faced by UPT Library are the lack of librarians and low interest in reading students. Therefore, so that students doing assignments from lecturers can use the library as a place to find references and make it easier for final semester students to work on proposals and thesis, UPT Library requires all students to have a library card. Implications the author can give about the UPT Efforts. UIN Datokarama Palu Library in Increasing Student Interest in Reading, which requires follow-up, including the UPT UIN Datokarama Library must cooperate with other university libraries and national libraries and make turning into a digital library as a step that must be carried out by the UIN Datokarama Palu library so that students can access information and reading materials anywhere and anytime. Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas tentang Upaya UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Datokarama Palu dalam Meningkatkan Minat Baca Mahasiswa. Ini merupakan kajian lapangan permasalahan yang di angkat dalam penelitian ini bagaimana Upaya UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Datokarama Palu dalam Meningkatkan Minat Baca Mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui Upaya UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Datokarama Palu dalam Meningkatkan Minat Baca Mahasiswa. Metode ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Upaya UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Datokarama Palu dalam Meningkatkan Minat Baca Mahasiswa adalah melakukan berbagai layanan dan kegiatan yaitu layanan baca di tempat, layanan koleksi online, workshop pengembangan literasi, lomba penulisan artikel, serta pojok baca di lingkungan kampus UIN Datokarama Palu. UPT. Perpustkaan berupaya untuk selalu memberikan fasilitas, bahan bacaan, serta melayani mahasiswa dan masyarakat kampus dengan baik, kendala yang dihadapi UPT. Perpustakaan adalah kurangnya tenaga pustakawan serta rendahnya minat baca mahasiswa. Oleh sebab itu, agar mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan tugas dari dosen bisa memanfaatkan perpustakaan sebagai tempat mencari referensi dan memudahkan mahasiswa semester akhir untuk mengerjakan proposal dan skripsinya UPT. Perpustakaan mewajibkan seluruh mahasiswa memiliki kartu perpustakaan. Implikasi yang dapat penulis berikan tentang Upaya UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Datokarama Palu dalam Meningkatkan Minat Baca Mahasiswa yaitu perlu tindak lanjut di antaranya UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Datokarama harus bekerja sama dengan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi lain dan perpustakaan nasional serta membuat beralih menjadi perpustakaan digital sebagai langkah yang harus dijalankan perpustakaan UIN Datokarama Palu, sehingga mahasiswa dapat mengakses informasi dan bahan bacaan dimanapun dan kapanpun

Abstract

This research examines the "Analysis of Management and Utilization of Braille Collections at SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu," where the research problem formulation includes how the management of braille collections is carried out at the Library of SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu, and how these braille collections are utilized. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The informants in this research include the head of SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu, teachers of visually impaired students, and the visually impaired students themselves. The research findings explain that the management of braille collections at the Library of SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu involves acquisition through gifts and self-publishing, manual inventory and cataloging, and classification based on alphabetical order. The braille collection at the library includes braille magazines, braille textbooks, Braille Qur'an, braille atlases, tactile maps, and 3D models of Mount Merapi. The braille collections most frequently utilized by students are braille textbooks, braille magazines, and the Braille Qur'an. One challenge in utilizing braille collections is when students have both visual and hearing impairments, making it difficult for them to comprehend the use of braille collections. It is necessary to recruit librarians and staff to assist in the management of collections in the library, making it easier for students or teachers to find collections that meet their needs. There is also a need for the acquisition of braille collections tailored to the students' needs, such as audiobooks, to benefit visually impaired students who struggle with braille books. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang “Analisis Pengelolaan dan Pemanfaatan Koleksi Braille di SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu” dimana rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana pengelolaan koleksi braille di Perpustakaan SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu? dan bagaimana pemanfaatan koleksi braille di perpustakaan SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi informan adalah kepala sekolah SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu, guru pengejar siswa penyandang tunanetra dan siswa penyandang tunanetra. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa pengelolaan koleksi braille di Perpustakaan SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu terdiri dari pengadaan yang diperoleh melalui hadiah dan terbitan sendiri, inventarisasi dan katalogisasi yang masih dilakukan secara manual, dan klasifikasi dengan pengelompokan berdasarkan abjad. Koleksi braille yang terdapat di perpustakaan SLB-ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu meliputi majalah braille, buku pelajaran braille, Al-Qur’an braille, atlas braille, peta taktual (peta timbul) dan peraga gunung Merapi 3 dimensi. Koleksi braille yang sering dimanfaatkan siswa yaitu buku pelajaran braille, majalah braille dan AL-Qur’an braille. Adapun yang menjadi kendala dalam pemanfaatan koleksi braille yaitu apabila siswa tersebut penyandang tunaganda, dimana mengalami tunanetra juga tunaganda sehingga kesulitan dalam memahami penggunaan koleksi braille. Perlu adanya perekrutan pustakawan dan staf yang membantu agar pengelolaan koleksi di perpustakaan dapat dilaksanakan, sehingga mempermudah siswa atau guru dalam menemukan koleksi sesuai kebutuhan mereka dan perlunya pengadaan koleksi braille yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa agar dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik, contohnya koleksi audiobook bagi sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan oleh siswa tunanetra yang kesulitan dalam memanfaatkan buku braille.
