Abstract

The author conducts research on the theological study of the practice of the communion of the church in today's era so that it can find the implications of the meaning in holy communion. The research used is a literature analysis approach that uses various relevant literature sources. The study of Holy Communion reminds us of the importance of fellowship with fellow members of the body of Christ. The Sacrament of Holy Communion has been a part of the life of the Church since the time of the Lord Jesus until now. Until now, the sacrament of the Lord's Supper is still an interesting subject. In this discussion, Paul's teachings on the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be described to contribute to the administration of the sacrament. Holy Communion in the Lord's Churches today. Then followed by a reflection for the practice of Holy Communion today: What is the significance of the theological dimension in the practice of Holy Communion today? The hadil of this paper will be produced with practical tips for incorporating and presenting the theological dimension in the practice of the Lord's Supper today.Penulis melakukan penelitian terhadap kajian teologis praktek perjamuan kudus gereja masa kini sehingga dapat menemukan implikasi makna dalam Perjamuan Kudus. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan analisis pustaka yang menggunakan berbagai sumber pustaka relevan. Kajian Perjamuan Kudus mengingatkan tentang pentingnya persekutuan dengan sesama anggota tubuh Kristus. Sakramen Perjamuan Kudus sudah menjadi bagian dari kehidupan Gereja sejak zaman Tuhan Yesus sampai sekarang. Hingga saat ini sakramen Perjamuan Kudus masih menjadi bahasan menarik. Dalam bahasan ini akan diuraikan ajaran Paulus tentang Sakramen Perjamuan Kudus untuk memberi kontribusi bagi pelaksanaan Perjamuan Kudus di Gereja-Gereja Tuhan pada masa kini. Kemudian disambung dengan refleksi untuk praktik Perjamuan Kudus di masa sekarang: Apa signifikansi dimensi teologis dalam praktek Perjamuan Kudus menurut tulisan Rasul Paulus. Hasil tulisan ini akan dihasilkan dengan pelbagai tips praktis untuk memasukkan dan menampilkan dimensi teologis dalam praktik Perjamuan Kudus masa kini.

Abstract

The history of the early church illustrates to the church today the spirit and courage of the early church and the apostles in carrying out the Great Commission. The purpose of this study is to discover the spirit and courage of the early church in carrying out the Great Commission and to invite the church today to carry out this task for the growth of the church. The method used in this research is the qualitative method. The result of this study is that the early church was more conspicuous in carrying out the Great Commission even though it faced heavy challenges but remained brave and resolute. Whereas the church today is still lacking in carrying out the Great Commission there are still many tribes who have not heard the gospel.

Abstract

In Indonesia, a pluralistic society with diverse cultures, religions, ethnicities, and worldviews poses significant challenges to church missiology. Horizontal conflicts related to religion and ethnicity are a frequent occurrence in the course of the nation's journey. This article explores the theological and social approaches to dealing with the issue's complexity. It investigates how the church can be a positive change agent in promoting interfaith dialogue, building social harmony, and strengthening cross-cultural understanding. Using a research method that involves theological study and social analysis expressed in a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach to understand the church's and missionaries' role in contemporary society. The conclusion is the need for the church to understand the dynamics of pluralism in the context of missiology in Indonesia so that it can provide a theological approach strategy in missiology for multicultural societies and also the importance of social strategies in facing the challenges of missiology in contemporary society. Finally, it can provide social and cultural impacts and implications for the practice of missiology in Indonesia. hence highlighting the need for a holistic approach that integrates theology with the social context of society, so that missiology can play an effective role in facing contemporary challenges and expanding its positive impact in social and spiritual transformation in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Kristen memiliki peran sentral dalam membentuk nilai moral remaja masa kini yang dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan dan perubahan zaman. Remaja masa kini mengalami krisis moral yang kompleks, dipengaruhi oleh dinamika globalisasi, perkembangan teknologi, dan perubahan budaya. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah 1). Untuk mengetahui tantangan pendidikan agama kristen di era remaja masa kini; 2). Pendidikan agama kristen sebagai fondasi nilai moral remaja masa kini; 3). Kontribusi pendidikan agama kristen dalam membentuk nilai-nilai moral remaja masa kini. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan. Hasil yang ditemukan adalah 1). Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, pendidikan Agama Kristen perlu mengembangkan strategi yang responsif, termasuk memberikan panduan moral Kristen yang sesuai, memfasilitasi pemahaman identitas Kristiani, dan menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran menarik. Dukungan terhadap kesehatan mental dan emosional remaja serta penguatan keterlibatan gereja juga menjadi bagian penting dalam menanggapi krisis moral remaja; 2). Pendidikan agama Kristen merupakan suatu upaya yang memiliki tujuan utama untuk memuliakan Allah, dengan Alkitab sebagai dasar utamanya. Didukung oleh nilai-nilai pendidikan Kristen, proses ini mengajak individu untuk mengenal pribadi Kristus, dan menjadikan ajaran Alkitab sebagai panduan hidup; 3). Dengan memberikan fondasi nilai Kristen, mendorong penerapan nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dan beradaptasi dengan dinamika kontemporer.Christian education has a central role in shaping the moral values of today's adolescents who are faced with various challenges and changing times. Today's youth are experiencing a complex moral crisis, influenced by the dynamics of globalization, technological development, and cultural change. The purpose of this article is 1). To know the challenges of Christian education in today's adolescent era; 2). Christian religious education as the foundation of moral values of today's youth; 3). The contribution of Christian religious education in shaping the moral values of today's youth. The method used is qualitative with a literature approach. The results found are 1). To address these challenges, Christian education needs to develop responsive strategies, including providing appropriate Christian moral guidance, facilitating understanding of Christian identity, and creating an engaging learning environment. Support for adolescent mental and emotional health and strengthening church involvement are also important parts of responding to the youth moral crisis; 2). Christian religious education is an effort that has the primary purpose of glorifying God, with the Bible as its main basis. Supported by the values of Christian education, this process invites individuals to know the person of Christ, and makes the teachings of the Bible a guide to life; 3). By providing a foundation of Christian values, encouraging the application of these values in everyday life, and adapting to contemporary dynamics.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way churches understand and practise worship, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the shift to online forms. This article theologically examines the phenomenon of online worship through a literature study focusing on the concepts of God's presence, sacramentality, and the community of faith. Using a theological hermeneutical approach, this study interprets the meaning of digital worship based on the works of theologians such as Gunawan, Thompson, Bauer, Tück, Boersma, and others. The results of the study show that God's presence is not limited by physical space but is mediated by the faith of believers united in the name of Christ. The concept of real presence is reinterpreted as a spiritual experience that can occur in digital space as long as it is based on faith awareness and the work of the Holy Spirit. Meanwhile, the issue of sacramentality raises tension between the incarnational understanding that emphasises physical presence and the spiritual approach that sees sacraments as symbols of faith that can be interpreted online. On the other hand, faith communities in the virtual era have developed into digital koinonia, a fellowship connected spiritually through technology, without negating the importance of physical interaction. This study affirms that online worship is not merely a technological adaptation, but an opportunity for the church to broaden its theological understanding of presence, fellowship, and mission in the digital world. With contextual theological reflection, the church can make digital space a place for the growth of faith, ministry, and witness to Christ in modern society.
