Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe mathematical reasoning abilities using the problem based instruction (PBI) model which is better than conventional learning for grade VI students of SD Negeri 115 / VI Bangko VIII. The method used is an experimental method. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used in this research is a mathematical reasoning ability test in the form of a description. From the data analysis, it was concluded that the mathematical reasoning ability of students using the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model was higher than the mathematical reasoning abilities of students who used conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning abilities of students with high initial abilities who took the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model were not higher than students' mathematical reasoning using conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning abilities of students with low initial abilities who took part in learning with the PBI model were not higher than students' mathematical reasoning abilities using conventional learning, there was no interaction between learning models and students' initial abilities to influence students' mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

The use of math learning tools can help smooth the process of defense. However, existing tools have not been able to engage students actively in making discoveries in order to build a conceptual understanding of the material learned. Lack of involvement of students in developing students; understanding of the concept of cause is easy to forget the material. This results in lower student learning outcomes. Therefore we need a device that can help student learning, the inquiry. Learning device is expected to lead the students to be actively involved in doing findings against the concept of the material to be studied so that the concept last long in the memory of the students. The purpose of this study is to develop inquiry is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is the development of research. This study uses a model of 4-D which consists of 4 stages: stage define, design, develop and disseminate. Inquiry validated by mathematics and language experts. Practicality is measured through observation implementation of learning and questionnaire responses of students and teachers. The effectiveness was measured through observation activities and student learning outcomes. The data were analyzed descriptively with the results of the validation are valid in terms of content and construct. At this stage of the practicalities, the result that the inquiry is practical to use. The use of inquiry can increase the activity and student learning outcomes. Mastery level student learning outcomes reached 76%. This means the device is effective in improving student learning outcomes. The result showed that the inquiry has developed a valid, practical and effective to use as a learning tool for mathematics for junior high school students VIIII.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a learning module with a scientific approach to valid and practical number pattern material, by going through the stages or steps of a scientific approach in the form of observing, asking questions, gathering information, reasoning, and communicating. The development procedure used in this research is the 4-D model consisting of 4 stages, namely the define stage, the design stage, the develop stage, and the dissemination stage. The results of this development are seen from the results of module validation and module practicality. The module is validated by 5 validators consisting of 2 mathematical material experts, 1 linguist, one design expert and one mathematics subject teacher for class VIII MTs Al-Munawwaroh. The result of the whole module validation with the scientific approach that has been carried out shows an average score of 4.42 with a very valid category. While the practicality of the module is seen from the results of the practicality questionnaire that were tested by all 15 students of MTs Al-Munawwaroh showing that the module with the scientific approach produced is very practical with a result of 97.85%. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the module with a scientific approach on the number pattern material developed could be used and was feasible for use in MTs Al-Munawwaroh

Abstract

This research is a quantitative correlational study that describes the relationship between two variables, namely learning motivation and learning outcomes. The population of this study were 44 students of class XI Marketing SMK N 1 Merangin. The sampling technique used total sampling technique. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires for learning motivation and documentation to obtain data on the score of mathematics learning outcomes. The questionnaire was distributed online because the learning process was still being carried out online with a total of 10 items. The results of the research data analysis obtained rcount for the learning motivation variable (X) with mathematics learning outcomes (Y) of 2.419 and the score of rtabel = 0.297. So, rcount > rtabel or 0.477> 0.297, namely Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is a relationship. For the level of significance using the Z test with the results of Zhitung > Ztabel or 15.862 > 0.4429, there is a significant relationship. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between learning motivation and mathematics learning outcomes of class XI Marketing students of SMK N 1 Merangin in the 2019/2020 academic year

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematical problem solving abilities of students on the subject of Trigonometry. This is because students lack the interest and motivation to learn, the teacher still applies conventional learning models. Where learning activities are still centered on the teacher and students are less active and tend to be saturated when the learning process takes place. Based on the background of the problem, this study aims to Improve Students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability through the Auditory Intelectually Repetition learning model of class XA students of SMA 5 Merangin year 2013/2014 lessons. The method of this research is classroom action research (CAR) conducted in class Xa of SMA 5 Merangin 2013/2014 academic year. The study was conducted in April 2014 with 3 cycles. The object of research is learning the subject of Trigonometry. The subjects of this study were class Xa students of SMA 5 Merangin in the academic year 2013/2014 totaling 28 students 17 male students and 11 female students. Data is collected using written test techniques and observations of students during the learning process. The results of this study indicate that the mathematical problem solving abilities of class Xa students of SMA 5 Merangin in the academic year 2013/2014 increased by using the Auditory Intelectually Repetition learning model. This increase can be seen from the results of the initial test (pre-test) indicating that only 31, 9%. After being given the Auditory Intelectually Repetition learning model there was an increase from the first cycle of 53.57% to 57.14% in the second cycle, and in the third cycle it increased to 75%. Increasing students' mathematical problem solving abilities also followed changes in student behavior. Based on the results of observations on the actions of the first cycle, cycle II and cycle III, there was an increase in student activity. Activity increased from an average of 45.06% in the first cycle to 53.97% in the second cycle and 72.03% in the third cycle. Abstract

The goal of this research is to develop LKPD on based problem-based learning on the subject of social arithmetic for class VII SMP Negeri Satu Atap 20 Merangin which are valid, practical, and effective. This form of research is known as Research and Development (R&D) and it follows a 4-D model has four stages, namely define, design, development, and disseminate. The validation sheet completed by five validators demonstrates validity. Practicality can be viewed from the practicality questionnaire and interviews with students. While learning activities and student learning outcomes are used to determine the effectiveness. The results viewed that the average score of the material expert validation results was 4.55, linguist validation was 4.50, and media expert validation was 5.00. The overall validation score was 4.68 has a very valid category. Student response questionnaires gained a percentage of 80.46% has a practical category. Students' learning activities get an average of 75.11% has a active category and the percentage of classical learning outcomes is 82.35% has a effective category. Based on the research results, LKPD on based problem-based learning are valid, practical, and effective

Abstract

This study aims to describe mathematical problem solving skills using the Discovery Learning method which is better than conventional learning on algebraic material for class VIII SMP N 43 Merangin Academic Year 2020/2021. Sampling using simple random sampling. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is the t-test. From the analysis of the final test data in the experimental class obtained an average of 50.25 while the control class obtained an average of 34.248. The results of hypothesis testing are obtained, t count = 7,260 and t table = 1,685. Because t hitung > t tabel then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion of this study is that the mathematical problem solving ability of class VIII SMP N 43 Merangin students using the Discovery Learning Method is better than the mathematical problem solving abilities of students taught by conventional learning in the 2020/2021 school year

Abstract

Target of this research is to yield worksheets based on invention guided at items Parallelogram and is Trilateral which practical and valid. This Research type is development and research. This research use model 4-D which consist of 4 phase that is: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Worksheets based on invention guided by validity by five expert people that is mathematician, media and Indonesian language, and also learn class mathematics study. Practical seen from result of enquette sheet of practicalities and interview with student. Result of analysis at phase of validity indicate that worksheets based on invention guided which is yielded very valid. Result of enquette analysis of practicalities, and result interview with student indicate that worksheets based on invention guided which is yielded is practical. Pursuant to result of research obtained that worksheets based on invention guided by at parallelogram items and trilateral the developed have very valid and is practical.
