Abstract

Kata kunci: Teh herbal; jantung pisang; daun stevia; variasi suhu  ABSTRACTBasic ingredient innovation that can be used as herbal tea is banana blossom, because of its secondary metabolites such flavonoids, coumarins and phenolic groups. This study aims to make banana blossom herbal tea and determine the quality standard. Formulation of herbal tea by varying drying temperature of 50°C; 90°C; 110°C and drying time 110; 130; 150 minutes, the quality standard test and herbal tea powder screening were carried out. Results of herbal tea quality: water content (7.1%; 6.8%; 2.3%), extract content in water (5.96%; 8.6%; 5 0.76%), ash content total (7.4%; 6.2%; 3.9%) water soluble ash content (4.62%; 7.88%; 10.09%) acid insoluble ash content (0.93%; 0, 7%, 0.47%, total flavonoid content 0.0002543mg QE/g extract, microbial contamination 3.3×104 colonies/ml. Formulation of banana blossom tea with the addition of natural sweetener stevia meets the quality standards of herbal tea products,Keywords: Herbal tea; banana blossom; stevia leaf; temperature variation

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Virgin coconut oil; imunomodulator; fagositosis; titer antibodi ABSTRACTVirgin coconut oil (VCO) is pure coconut oil. VCO contains Medium Chain Fatty Acid (MCFA) which has an influence increased immune system. This study was to determine the immunomodulatory effect of VCO on phagocytic activity and antibody titer values in male rats. The carbon clearance test group was divided into 5 groups with 5 rats each of 0.5% CMC Na suspension, Imboost dose of 30 mg/kgBW, Virgin coconut oil 5 ml/KgBW, 10 ml/KgBW, 15 ml/KgBW. The treatment was given once a day for seven days, on the eight day immunomodulatory test was performed use carbon clearance method. The antibody titer test treatment group was same, except for the positive control, levamisole at a dose of 25 mg/kgBW orally for 14 days. The results showed that VCO 5 ml/KgBB, 10 ml/KgBB, 15 ml/KgBB significantly increased macrophage cell phagocytic activity compared to 0.5% Na-CMC (P<0.05) and could increase cell antibody formation immunity of male mice significantly. Keywords: Virgin coconut oil; immunomodulator; phagocytosis; antibody titer

Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic condition, which occurs because the body cannot produce insulin, normally or insulin cannot work effectively. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the rational administration of antidiabetic, oral treatment of diabetes mellitus patients at the age of 30-50 years type 2 in Deli Serdang Hospital, lubuk pakam in 2020. Method: This study is a non-experimental type of research using descriptive methods. Results: Shows that from 72 samples of Type II Diabetes Mellitus patients at Deli Serdang General Hospital, April-July Period 2020. With the number (52.8%) of male sex patients and the number (47.2%) of type patients female genitalia and antidiabetic drugs most widely used by patients, in the period of April-July 2020, namely (20.8%) glycionion + metformin and (20.8%) insulin drugs. the use of DM drugs with the right rational indication (65.3%), Rational with the right medicine (100%), rational with the right dosage (100%), the right rational patient (100%) and the rational way of administration (100:%). Conclusion: Evaluation of drug use is a structured quality assurance process that is carried out continuously to ensure that the drugs used are appropriate, safe, and efficient.
