Abstract

Poverty remains a major issue in national development, including in Bengkulu City. This community service activity aims to improve beneficiary families' understanding of the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH), provide accurate information through the Social Services Agency, and encourage community participation in supporting poverty alleviation efforts. The method used in this community service activity is an interactive method combined with direct outreach by the Social Services Agency. This approach has proven effective because it increases participants' trust in the information provided. Based on the questionnaire results, there was an increase in understanding, especially regarding beneficiary obligations and the program's long-term goals. Participants also assessed the delivery method as clear, easy to understand, and relevant to daily life. Therefore, this activity is a strategic effort to increase the effectiveness of PKH implementation at the local level.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of population growth, education, and health on poverty in Indonesia. The data used in this research are panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia spanning the years 2018 to 2022. Poverty is utilized as the dependent variable, while population growth, education, and health serve as independent variables. The analytical method employed is panel data regression. The findings indicate that population growth does not significantly affect poverty in Indonesia, whereas education and health significantly influence poverty in Indonesia from 2018 to 2022.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of previous year’s tax, revenue sharing, GRDP, population, and the dummy of district status toward the local government spending in Sumatra. Tuliskan jenis/disain peneltian yang digunakan, variable yang digunakan serta struktur data yang digunakan. The study is explanatory research. The study applies the data panel regression technique. Data used is panel data of districts/cities in Sumatra from 2008 to 2019. Results show that the role of the previous year's tax, GRDP, population toward the local government spending significantly affects the local government spending of splitting and non-splitting regions. For a dummy of district status, district's government spendings are higher than those of cities’s government spendings. For splitting regions, the previous year’s tax has the strongest impact on local government spending, followed by the dummy variable of district status. Revenue sharing does not influence local government spending. For non-splitting regions, the dummy variable of district status has the biggest impact on local government spending, followed by the previous year’s tax. Revenue sharing positively influences local government spending. The study recommends that local governments encourage the growth of the business sector and manage tax revenue by implementing intensive taxation.

Abstract

1)To analyze the effect of local revenue (PAD), resource sharing fund (DBH), general grants (DAU), and special grants (DAK) on the local government spending in blooming provinces in Indonesia. 2) To analyze the flypaper effect phenomenon in blooming provinces in Indonesia. This research is exploratory research. The data used is panel data, consisting of 25 blooming provinces from 2014-2020.  The analysis method applied is panel data regression. The dependent variable is government spending, while the independent variables used are local revenue (PAD), resource sharing fund (DBH), general grants (DAU), and special grants (DAK). Local revenue (PAD), general grants (DAU), and special grants (DAK) have a positive effect significantly on government expenditures. While resource sharing fund (DBH) does not have an effect on government expenditures. Furthermore, there is no flypaper effect phenomenon in blooming provinces in Indonesia. Flypaper effect, local revenue (PAD), resource sharing fund (DBH), general grants (DAU), special grants (DAK).
