Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is an indicator that can be used to measure development achievements in the quality of human life, seen from health, education and economic aspects. So these three aspects are important to improve in creating the welfare of the people of a region. In this research, there are at least two factors that can influence the human development index, namely, local original income (PAD) and economic growth. The aim of this research is to analyze local original income (PAD) and economic growth against the human development index (HDI) in Pekanbaru City. This research uses secondary data obtained from the Official Publication of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Pekanbaru City, namely Regional Original Income (PAD), Economic Growth and Human Development Index (HDI) from 2018-2023. Based on the results in this research, the research data is then analyzed using the Eviews 13 application and then analyzed in the discussion. So it shows that local original income (PAD) and economic growth have a positive and significant influence on the human development index (HDI).

Abstract

Economic growth and the level of public welfare are very important and inseparable in a country's development process. This study aims to analyze the relationship between economic growth and the level of public welfare in Riau Province. Public welfare in this study is proxied through the Human Development Index (HDI), which reflects the dimensions of health, education, and income. The data used are secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Riau Province. The data analysis method in this study uses simple linear regression analysis with the help of the Eviews 13 application. The results of this , study indicate that economic growth has a positive and significant effect on the level of public welfare in Riau Province. Increased economic growth has been proven to be able to encourage improvements in creating public welfare. As proven by the coefficient of determination value of 0.5576 or 55.76%, of course there are many other factors that can also influence the level of public welfare. Therefore, it can be interpreted that economic growth has a positive relationship with the level of welfare. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of formulating regional economic development policies that focus on increasing economic growth and community welfare.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat literasi ketahanan air dan pangan perkotaan melalui kolaborasi komunitas mahasiswa Kotak Baca dengan PT PP Tirta Madani di Kota Pekanbaru. Materi menekankan konsep ketahanan air, keterkaitan air dan pangan serta pemahaman rantai layanan air dari Sungai Siak hingga pengolahan yang mengacu pada standar mutu sesuai regulasi. Program dirancang untuk mengenalkan konsep water resilience, hubungan air dan pangan, serta rantai layanan air Kota Pekanbaru melalui edukasi kelas dan pembelajaran lapangan. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan pre-test, post-test, dan refleksi peserta. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pada seluruh topik inti, yang mengindikasikan penguatan kapasitas literasi air peserta. Program ini memberikan dampak praktis berupa meningkatnya pemahaman sistemik peserta terhadap proses penyediaan air bersih dan urgensi partisipasi komunitas. Kegiatan direkomendasikan untuk direplikasi melalui penguatan unit literasi lingkungan dan pelatihan berkelanjutan pada komunitas mitra
