Abstract

Football, one of the most popular sports in the world, has never been separated from political aspects. In Europe, at least since the World War, football has been used by governments as a propaganda tool. At other times, football is the first to initiate entry into the world of politics, such as UEFA's decision to involve football clubs and the national team of Turkey in competing with European football clubs and national teams. Recently, the security conflict between Russia and Ukraine has given rise to political support by several football confederations in Europe. This research aims to identify the chain of politicization that occurs between the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the political attitudes of football confederations in Europe, using issue linkage theory. Next, this research, using European solidarity theory at the macro level, analyzes the implications of this chain of politicization for European integration. The research method applied in this research is basic research using secondary data. This research finds that on the issue of the Russia-Ukraine security conflict, this issue controls the dynamics of football politics in Europe. Meanwhile, European solidarity occurs at the institutional level with a political orientation.

Abstract

One of complicated issues occurs in Indonesia is waste management. The complexity is caused by various factors, one of which is the amount of waste that is not recycled. A number of alternatives can be used to deal with the waste recycling problem, one of which is the establishment of a waste bank. The Waste Bank of Kuncup Mekar, located in Wates Urban Village, Magelang, is one of several waste banks in the city of Magelang. Like other waste banks, the initiative to establish this waste bank is based on the mission of utilizing waste. However, in its management, the Kuncup Mekar Waste Bank is experiencing problems, even though it has been facilitated by a digital application called E-Pulung. This activity, then, aims to analyze the reasons why the waste bank is experiencing problems. The method used in this activity is a qualitative method with data collection using in-depth interviews and observation. This article finds that the main obstacle in operating this waste bank is the employees' busyness to do work, which together with the lack of manpower, to operate the waste bank. Lastly, the author recommends improving the appearance of the user interface in the E-Pulung application by adding options for garbage collection times and channels for transferring waste coin conversions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of destination image, service quality, and sustainable practices on tourist satisfaction in Borobudur’s tourism villages. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 domestic tourists through structured questionnaires. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that destination image and service quality have a significant and positive influence on tourist satisfaction, with service quality having the strongest effect. In contrast, sustainable practices were found to have no significant effect, suggesting a possible disconnect between sustainability efforts and tourist awareness or expectations. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening service standards and enhancing the perceived image of tourism villages while making sustainability efforts more visible and experiential. The study contributes to both theoretical understanding and practical strategies for community-based tourism development.

Abstract

People's Republic of China or commonly known as China has been transformed as one of the respected rising powers. China's hegemony in various regions is strongly supported by its economic power and military strength. The strength of these two aspects has influenced China's growing political power in international politics. In the economic aspect, China strengthens its influence by establishing economic cooperation relations with various international entities, including the Pacific Island countries. One form of such cooperation is the China-Pacific Island Countries Economic Development and Cooperation Forum. This research aims to answer the question of why China is attempting to intensify economic cooperation with Pacific Island countries. The authors decided to focus on the research with time scope 2011-2019 because China began to intensify the cooperation since 2011. Meanwhile, China's offer of financial assistance was last identified in 2019, so that year is selected to be the limit for the research focus. Furthermore, the conceptual framework utilized is regime formation and regional hegemon. We argue that the cooperation undergone by China in South Pacific is to establish an economic cooperation regime. By establishing the regime, China intends to become a hegemon in South Pacific, at once decrease the influence of the United States and Australia in that region and secure its political interest in Southeast Asia where this territorial has become a power struggle field between China and the United States.
